Publisher of The New Republic Resigns After Misconduct Claims

Hamilton Fish, the president and publisher of The New Republic, has resigned from the magazine after allegations of inappropriate conduct. The move came less than a week after Mr. Fish was asked to take a leave of absence pending an investigation into recent complaints from women about their interactions with him.
In a letter on Friday to Win McCormack, the owner of The New Republic, Mr. Fish wrote that he was submitting his resignation “after much reflection.”
“As I understand it, some employees, to my deep dismay, complained this week that my presence had led them to feel uncomfortable at The New Republic,” he wrote, adding later, “It’s my sense that our office culture has been harmed, and the best way for me to help the organization move past this is by withdrawing.”
He added: “Women have longstanding and profound concerns with respect to their treatment in the workplace. Many men have a lot to learn in this regard. I know I do.”
When reached by email, Mr. Fish wrote, “I’ve spent the past 18 months working to strengthen this great magazine, and agree with those who feel this controversy is threatening to derail our progress.”

The great-great-great-grandson of THIS Hamilton Fish— just imagine. There was also a fine courageous descendant of this Hamilton Fish who died on San Juan Hill with the Rough Riders- from a Spanish Mauser shot through the heart (died in seconds).
How does a lib weasel like this devolve from prior “ballsy” stock of America? It boggles the mind, and also begs to address the “misbehaviour” charge and who is making it. We are a nation of pussies, apparently. Must be the yams.

It seems to me that the male should be able to counter-sue the female for harassment as well. If he makes some unwanted communication, and she smiles or makes a likewise inappropriate comeback as part o the first communication, he can then bring her up on the same charge. Entrapment? Nah. This harassment stuff is getting out of control. The females jump in line for the gravy train.
