Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he and other House Judiciary Committee Republicans had met with Sessions at the Justice Department on September 28 in advance of an upcoming committee hearing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein later this month.

Gaetz said that when he asked Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS, the attorney general stood up, said he could not discuss the matter because he had recused himself, and walked out of the room, leaving them with a group of Rosenstein staffers “who showed no interest.”

It’s way past time Sessions recused himself from the job of Attorney General. Sessions needs to go away.

There is something seriously wrong with an AG who continues to recuse himself.

WHY did he accept this position if he continuously recuses himself from important items that need to be investigated?

If this is true the President needs to fire him. Now. Why not just recuse yourself from ANY matter that might involve criminal activity???

Sessions is working on the Foundation. Mueller is investigating all of Hillary’s other scandals. IMO

All that’s left is for Sessions to start talking about strawberries and geometric logic.

At the point, there cane only two possibilities

There are already secret criminal investigations already in process or Sessions needs to go.

The problem is that Jared or someone gave Trump bad advice on Rosenstein, who Dems know is on their side, so they’d try to stop any replacement for Sessions, and probably with McCain, Corker & Flake helping.

The problem here is that the recent issues for investigation have all involved the government in some way.

If any issue comes up that does NOT involve the government, in some way, Sessions will be right on it!!

Who else would be a better fit?

Originally I was all for Sessions at AG, DoJ (and other bureau under it) haven’t perked up with him at the helm.

Granted, it was an uphill battle, but an AG that won’t fight (keeps recusing self) and refuse to do the right thing seems too lame.

Is Sessions the senator who supported Trump early in the campaign? I seem to remember him being at some early rallies. What happened to him after Trump got elected? Seems like his early support for Trump would have got him a position in the administration, but he disappeared.
