Former President Barack Obama acknowledged that Breitbart News changed the media narrative during the 2016 election.

“You know … Bannon and Breitbart did something pretty interesting. Now, they didn’t create a whole new platform but they did shift the entire media narrative in a different direction — in a powerful direction,” Obama said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Obama made his remarks during his Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago after stopping by a panel discussion on the “Responsibility of Powerful Online Platforms.”

He urged people attending the session to “solve” the shifting media climate and turn it back in a different direction.

“solve” the shifting media climate and turn it back in a different direction.

In a different direction????? Say like away from the truth? I cannot find the words to fully express my contempt for Obama, who clearly has sub-human values and motives. He is a walking, talking manure pile.

“Translation: “Democrat Party must ensure that it never again loses is stranglehold on the ‘news’.””

. . . . by any and all means necessary.

Good. Let’s hope they shift it again in 2018 and 2020!

The vast, overwhelming majority of the media is basically a constant PR department cheerleading for the Democrat party, and this clown doesn't think that's good enough. He wants to stomp out the handful of websites and independent media outlets that dare -- dare -- to challenge their narrative.

A bit like Maharbal said to Hannibal, he knew how to gain a victory but not what to do with it.

His solve is state run news, which he pretty much had with the msm.

Just more proof that, to Dems, the most important thing is the narrative.

Not to take anything away from Breitbart. I appreciate their part in taking down the Leftist and Establishiment uniparty, but the worst thing that ever happened to the Democratic Party is Barack Obama (the worst President ever) and Hillary Clinton (the worst candidate ever). And, the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party is President Donald Trump.

Of course this is nonsense. I bet less than 15% of the voters have ever even read Breitbart. The media narrative was overwhelmingly anti-Trump. This is just Obama telling the media to take an even more extreme left wing anti-Trump approach in its “reporting”.

Bingo. Obama's hero (Che Guevara) pointed out that Che once lost an election because he did not have an iron-clad grip on the press. Obama knows full-control of the press is the number one priority for democrats.

BTW, Che's hero was Joseph Stalin.

I agree — I think it was more Trump reframing the narrative.

I have a hard time even reading Breitbart with all the ads and everything, anyway.

Well, he finally got something right. Trump Co. did utilize the new media to turn the tide and overcome the monopoly of the MSM.

So, it did not matter that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, etc., plus Hollywood, were extensions of the DNC. Breitbart along with Trump and other conservative media personalities, managed to draw an awareness to the overwhelming bias of these ‘news organizations’ which were merely reading the talking point of the DNC and Hillary campaign.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, it will be nigh impossible to get the electorate who supported Trump-Pence to ever believe a word they say again.

So, they had a narrative then.

Written and spoken by everybody on the left.

Too bad for him (and her) the American people had an alternative to the daily babble emanating from Washington and Hollywood.

People are waking up the the manipulation of the left and they don’t like it or the perpetrators.

"I know I never went to Britebart.com and read anything. I suspect the former Potus is somewhat underestimating things...as usual."

You don't know how big Breitbart has become; it is now among the top ten Internet sites in traffic. It is not uncommon for articles to attract more than 10,000 comments. Comparatively little-noticed stories usually get hundreds of comments.
