Do you know if any Clinton related organization gave money to the super delegates? I ask because I'm wondering how she had them all in the bag at the beginning? I understand most of the country save some of us here early on thought she would win. But the way the HRC campaign behaved it seemed like they knew they had this thing rigged top to bottom in a scheme that couldn't fail.

What I think happened is via campaign contributions the CGI or whatnot was buying the super delegates. I'm not sure that would even be illegal.

I read somewhere money would flow into a Canadian charity which has laws to protect those who are giving the money. Then the Canadian charity would forward the money to CGI now nice an clean as the Yukon snow.

Please understand this is just my theory no proof and I haven't looked yet.

I doubt that was “news” to DT. If you believe Trump was really running since 2012, and that he decided he needed more work, including lots of years of building up a spy network & dirt digging, then he would have known everything about Manafort.

I agree the delegate stuff “could” look fishy. But remember at the time 538 kept touting Trump “couldn’t get” to 1237, even when I, and you, and others were showing he’d reach 1300 easily (he had 1400 when Cruz dropped out). So it’s a matter of who Trump was listening to at the time.

He was hired, or whatever, to assist with the Republican convention because they thought it would be brokered. He stayed on when Trump became the nominee. Notice, be was one of the first fired from Trump’s staff. Manafort was an anti Trump spy, probably at the behest of other NeverTrumpers.

He worked for other candidates: Ford, Reagan, George HW Bush, and Dole.

Manafort worked to secure the delegates for President Reagan. That was a known part of his resume. He managed to get Kasich and Cruz delegates, among others.

He resigned shortly after the convention and the Ukraine whispers.

At the time he joined the campaign, it was published he would work on the delegates. Actually, he was interviewed on the topic frequently. I don't know about all his background, but he did what he said he would do.
