Turn the lights down and crank up the volume.
Greg Lake (ELP) Watching over You. Maybe not my favorite - but is very fitting for the topic of those that have died. A quiet lullaby.

Check out these other Keith Whitley songs, particularly, Dont Close Your Eyes, When You Say Nothing At All, On The Other Hand, and Nobody In His Right Mind Would Have Left Her. If you liked that other one by him you will probably like these too.

Too many to mention from the late great Robert Palmer.
Gerry Rafferty had some.

I love Wildfire, and Blue Sky Riding Song is also a fav that gets me jumping. But I’m pretty sure Michael is still with us.
I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Clark while I was in college (1980) and was working the 'Green Room' (I was a 'Go-fer') at the Long Beach Banjo Fiddle and Guitar Festival. That year the lineup (if memory serves) included: Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Joe Ely, Doc Watson and Guy Clark (I worked three festivals and the line up may be off a bit). Guy Clark and his late wife were two of the nicest people that year.
This song was made into a modest hit by Jerry Jeff Walker:
My Wife - The Who (John Entwistle)
One of their best.
Well, I posted John Renbourn instead, a very nice little piece. The instructional video is a hoot for people who are completely hopeless at playing an instrument.
