Clinton campaign, DNC helped pay for work on dossier about Russia and Trump

The Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) helped fund research that resulted in a now-famous dossier containing allegations about Donald Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin, people familiar with the matter said.

Marc Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington, D.C., firm, to conduct the research. Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community.

Elias and his law firm, Seattle-based Perkins Coie, retained the firm in April 2016 on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Before that agreement, Fusion GPS’ research into Trump was funded by a still unknown Republican client during the GOP primary.

The Clinton campaign and the DNC, through the law firm, continued to fund Fusion GPS’ research through the end of October 2016, days before Election Day.

I wonder if they did the same to Bernie. If so, this could really be bad for the democrats. Bernie supporters would possibly even split form the democrats.

Clinton colluded with the Russians to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with the Russians.

And a big public show was made by RINO Senator John McCain that he turned this disinformation package over to the FBI (which no doubt already HAD the full “dossier” in their possession), not as an operative for the Democrat smear machine, but as a “concerned citizen”.

An act which he almost immediately backed away from, once the realization broke that much of the content was patently false. However, that did not stop the FBI in the least from pursuing the Trump representatives for being “Russian agents”.

Back in the Truman Administration, such a machination was referred to as a “red herring”, the dragging of a fish carcass over the tracks to throw off the bloodhounds.

Google the term.

Perhaps this is the reason for the quickening tempo of the MSM-Democrats attempts to smear Trump with the Fredericka Wilson stuff, the Harvey Pervstein stuff, the Niger stuff, etc.

The attorney was more than just a lawyer working for the campaign, get this: “The National Law Journal sat down with Perkins Coie partner Marc Elias, who served as general counsel of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.”

Remember that when the Clinton’s allude to his being some kind of associate of a co counsel.

Also, don’t let McCain hide behind the “concerned citizen” comment. He was up to his eyeballs in this as he was the one who probably funded, directly or indirectly, the opposition research done by Fusion. Pertainent question to McCain: how did you happen to find out about this document since it was done by a dem opposition research firm??

Soros, Teneo, and whomever was pushing both Rubio and the mailman’s son are probably coconspirators in this event. That troubles me as they are not going to want their cross aisles swamp collaboration made known, ever.

We Freepers think logically and connect the dots like this. Unfortunately, the leftist press does not. In fact, it slants articles to be as biased for Dems and against Trump as possible. A similar WAPO-based article in today’s Baltimore Sun covers for Dems in both the sub-heading and the caption of the picture. Infuriating!

"Clinton colluded with the Russians to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with the Russians."

Not only that. This bogus report was given to the FBI who then used it as a basis to initiate surveillance on the Trump campaign and to unmask secretly recorded audio communications of Trump campaign officials and Trump himself.

Of course it was, and if I were into betting I'd bet you a dollar that Milt Romley was in on it.

Time for Sessions to un-recuse himself, its obvious that Rosenstein and Mueller knew about Uranium sale for years, didn’t do anything about it.

Fbi knew the Dossier was bogus, but they came to Sessions and convinced Jeff to recuse himself

Jeff does not want to handle hot issues, so far he has not
done the country a service by investigation National Security and bribery issues. Time to fire Mueller et al.
