An Ivy League teaching assistant tweeted Monday that she calls on black female students first and white male students last.
“I will always call on my black women students first. Other POC [people of color] get second tier priority. WW [White women] come next. And, if I have to, white men,” University of Pennsylvania teaching assistant Stephanie McKellop said in a tweet from an account linked to her name that has now been protected.

I never got a grade on “class participation” at UMD. The classes were huge and frankly, I just wanted to get the lecture and bug out.
It was usually the incessant yakker in the smaller classes who tied up profs and caused endless delays in lecture time.
It was always the same people who elicited the same groans day after day after day. ~ Usually crashing bores with inflated senses of themselves.
You get this know-nothing teaching your child for $60k/yr after taxes? Sucker!
Calling black women first?
I cannot imagine what kind of verbal crap goes on before a decent answer is given.
My black students thought I was picking on them when I called on them to answer a question. These same people wanted videos of my teaching so they didn’t have to attend class. They did not understand why they were required to have a pathology course to be a nurse. “Nurses don’t need pathology!”. And that goes right along with the nurses I talk with today who don’t know the difference between a virus and a bacteria.
Hopefully, if there is a god, I will never teach again.
