Yikes! I live at the upper end of the altitude where they can be found. I have not seen anything but a few garter snakes here.
I have only seen one rattler here in CO. That was in Fruita at the monument about 6 or 7 years ago. My 2nd son spotted it in the dark...a baby. I got a picture of it. Will have to post later. :) I’m not against snakes. I know they serve a purpose. I just don’t want to be around them. Especially the deadly ones.
