Not sure I’m buying the above. JFK faced down the Soviets and got the missles in Cuba removed. It may have been his Bay of Pigs invasion that showed weakness, but in the end, JFK defended our nation by calling the Soviets’ bluff. Funny how a democrat at that time was more a leader, conservative, and nationalist than most GOPe nowadays.
The sequence of events went like this:
1-U.S. missiles to Turkey (and the article says Italy)
2-Soviet missiles to Cuba
3-Soviet missiles removed from Cuba
4-U.S. missiles removed from Turkey
Only by ignoring events 1,4 and calling events 2,3 “The Cuban Missile Crisis” can Kennedy come out looking like he won.

Also what is more perplexing to me is how Russia is now showing itself to be a more Christian & conservative country and the Usa is fast going down the abyss of rejecting everything of Christianity.
