Bannon blasts George W. Bush’s presidency at California GOP meeting

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon says there has not been a more destructive presidency than George W. Bush’s.

Bannon delivered a scathing criticism of the former president after Bush this week denounced bigotry in Trump-era American politics, warning that the rise of “nativism,” isolationism and conspiracy theories have clouded the nation’s true identity.

Bannon told a capacity crowd at a California Republican convention in Anaheim that Bush “embarrassed himself.”

In his remarks in New York, Bush warned of a nation in which discourse has been degraded by “casual cruelty,” where bigotry is emboldened.

Bannon says Bush has no idea whether “he is coming or going, just like it was when he was president.”

As I used to tell my liberal friends back in the day when they would whine about Bush and call him Hitler:

“I don’t know what you’re bitching about, Bush is the best Democrat the Republicans ever elected!”

Bush this week denounced bigotry in Trump-era American politics..

Of course he gives no examples. The only examples I can think of are coming from the left who are viciously racist against white people.

Cool! Reminds me of a similar story (kinda) where I had stagehands doing work for a local charity show. I was talking to one of the security guys when the limo pulled up. I went up the ramp before it was let in and Bob Hope stepped out right in front of me; about twp feet away at most. Got his autograph. Despite all that’s happened. I still have the pen and his autograph. THAT was a long, long time ago.

Somehow George Bush has convinced a lot of people that his odd brand of magical thinking is tough-minded and realistic. Perhaps it was all those side-by-side comparisons with the even-more-confused Al Gore and John Kerry that gave the American people that false impression. The only good reason to vote Bush into the office of chief executive was to keep the likes of Gore and Kerry away from the levers of power. As spendthrift as George Bush has been, Kerry would have been even more lavish. There is some hope that Bush will promote judges who have a deeper commitment to limited government than Bush himself has. The undiminished optimism of our former cheerleader turned Cheerleader-in-Chief may yet lead us into disaster. Two more years of magical thinking is a long time to go without a serious stumble.

Nice story too! I met a bunch of different people in the 10 years I worked there. Charton Heston, Henry Kissinger, Rush Limbaugh, etc in passing. Had lunch with Phyllis Diller and a full blown conversation with Robin Williams while he was trying to convince us he was who he was. Lol

Nice. I can assure he wasn’t as tall as somebody mentioned in IMDB. Not by a long shot. i met Dawn Wells too. Had our picture taken together. Sadly I think that picture was lost. The company I worked for might still have a copy. I’ve thought about contacting them. I just want a copy if they still have it.

The persecution of Christians really started back in ‘03, clearly it wasn’t as bad as what was to come with ISIS; but it still happened.

A lot of sources say this. Everyone can research it for themselves. And it goes without saying, there was already some persecution of Christians while Saddam was in power. But it became a huge disaster.

Robin Williams mom or someone lived in Tehachapi and had a birthday party at the club. Was very formal, all suits and ties etc. anyway, guy comes to the bar to get a soda and as he walks away me and one of the waitresses looks at each other and says.....hmmm. He looks kind of familiar but why? We were trying to figure it out when he comes back. He heard us. He says....you don’t know who I am? We said.....mmmmmm no. Can’t figure it out. He says I’m Robin Williams. We look at each other and then at him and say....Nuh uh. Lol. He pulled out his license and showed us. I don’t know if it was the lighting in the bar, the way he was dressed or what but it really didn’t look like him so we said nuh uh again. He laughed and walked off. Then we said...omg it’s him! Rofl.

Stuttering George ran and hid on 9-11. And it was downhill from there.

Even Michelle Obama, with her massive arms, couldn’t control Retard George that day.

My son went to the sports camp there for years. Very sweet rural hilly town. Though I’ve heard they’ve had their share of opiate and drug problems.
