Aside from the political, economic and social environment, the game itself is in a “decadent” phase. That is, it, and the players, are hyperdeveloped.

They are so strong, so fast, so quick, that it changes the character of the game, compared to say, the seventies. It has become a technical exercise.

I do still watch it on occasion, but more from prurient interest than any sort of fan sentiment.

In fact, I happened to be watching when JJ Watts incurred his tibial plateau fracture. The play didn’t look like much - just an awkward plant of his left foot. But he’s so big! Hyperdeveloped.

They genuinely don't understand. There is no "outreach" that balances out actively insulting our Anthem, our flag, our country, our military, and our ancestors three days a week. Some fans are gone forever and will not return no matter what. A few are gone but will return when all protests linked to the flag or the Anthem end.

Nothing short of unconditional surrender from the thugs and socialists will reverse even part of the damage. Further, continuing the protests will alienate more viewers. If you try to excitedly talk football around your patriotic friends, and they cut you off, you will eventually lose interest in the game. This will become an urban thug spectator sport rather than America's game soon enough.

Urban shopping malls are dying or dead, and the NFL will follow the same path for the same reason. White flight is just phase one.

If the NFL lost me of all people, I can only imagine how many others they’ve lost.

This is big. The MSM and the NFL will act else, but I am seeing evidence of a lot more NFL promotions in my feeds everywhere I go on line.

The Owners will cave. There are thousands who would love a Player slot as it is very competitive, but they got nothing with a diminishing fan base.

I think a lot of us were just tired of the thug element, and the anthem just provided that final straw.

And it’s even starting to happen with college football as well. I know my interest in College Football has waned considerably (and no, it’s not just because the Gators suck right now).

Communists, on the other hand are best exposed.
Even if they are also idiots.

But once we destroy what they are trying to contort the NFL into, it will be remade in the image that we want it to be(and what it always should have been). The league won’t go bust. But we will knock it down so many pegs that the owners will be forced to do exactly what we want them to do.

They offered him a $14 million contract, and Kaepernick walked out on it for whatever reason, thinking he could do better

In other words, he pulled a Latrell Sprewell. I'm glad the jerk has such poor judgement that he walked away from that contract, consider it a visit from karma.
