Beyond his legislative failures, despite his futile feuds with professional athletes, GOP senators and members of his own Cabinet, in the face of feeble poll numbers and relentless condemnation from prestigious commentators, President Trump could yet preside over four dynamic years of peace, prosperity and progress.

Those who dismiss this optimistic proposition should consider six of Trump’s underrated predecessors. The presidents who served between 1868 and 1896 showed that it’s possible for the nation to flourish and rise without acclaimed, accomplished or even popular leadership in the White House….Read the full column at USATODAY.COM

Donald Trump's appalling presidency might just be a boon for empty wallets

Michael Medved, Opinion columnist Published 8:36 a.m. ET Oct. 17, 2017 | Updated 8:56 p.m. ET Oct. 19, 2017

Despite tanking popularity, the economy is on the rise. History shows a connection between awful chief executives and good times.

Not at all what either Medved's headline or article says. Headline malpractice.

Based on what he says on the air, Michael Medved has about the worst political instincts a man could possibly have.

I remember the post-Civil War presidents being referred to as the "Do-Nothing Presidents" in 7th or 8th grade Social Studies classes. This was back when Jimmuh was castigating the American people for their "malaise."

I learned later they were just following the Constition. I guess compared to Lincoln and Wilson they were do-nothing presidents. . .and we benefited greatly as a nation

You couldn’t pay me enough to read what he has to say.

I’m not sure who he voted for but at one time said he was voting for Hillary.
