Why is it always President Trump who must step up to the plate with these things? Where is the Congress?Because Congress can't do anything. They can hold hearings. Period. They can't indict, prosecute of imprison. That's the role of the Executive and since no one at DOJ seems interested in doing anything unprompted it's going to be up to the President to force their hand.

What I meant was why aren’t they making a stink about it - in the press, on television; in the halls of Congress, amongst themselves?
AND they should be affirming their support to the President in no uncertain terms in this endeavor.

Among other things, Congress can: subpoena documents and require testimony; It can offer immunity in exchange for waiving the fifth Amendment, and it can Imprison malefactors for contempt of Congress. All that could be put into play starting tomorrow if Congress had the balls to take their jobs seriously.
