I strongly suspect this guy was an FBI or CIA asset or engaged in money laundering for some criminal enterprise.

Funny, I assume EVERYTHING “law enforcement” says is a LIE.
Personally, I think ISIS was involved and the LE silence is not so much a conspiracy to cover it up as it as an attempt to protect an anti-terrorism operation. I read the Spanish and French press and there have been several jihadi funding and arms smuggling groups shut down since Las Vegas. LE forces have also released info on ISIS and ISIS inspired cells and individuals who had already been quietly wrapped up early this year.
So yeah, I think it’s odd, but it seems to me like something is happening. Something good, that is.
Cover up for some reasons I do not know.
