Pope Francis implicitly criticized the United States on Monday for pulling out of the Paris agreement on climate change, praising it as a means to control the devastating effects of global warming.

The U.S. is the only country out of 195 signatories to have withdrawn from the accord, which aims to cut emissions blamed for the rise in temperatures.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the decision in June shortly after visiting the pope, a strong supporter of the deal. At the time a Vatican official said the move was a “slap in the face” for the pope and the Vatican.

"What does the Vatican know about the science of climate change?"

The Vatican has the Pontifical Academy of Science which functions like the US Academy of Science and it advises the Pope.

In the US, the republicans hate scientists including those at the Academy, at colleges and Universities, and in the federal agencies.

In the GOP, the favorite scientists are PR men like Lord Monckton and Myron Ebell

None of that is an accident. In fact, that’s the design.

I became Catholic and this current Pope is the most socialist, anti freedom Pope I have ever witnessed. He needs to bud out of American politics and stop washing muslim feet.

In the US, the republicans hate scientists including those at the Academy, at colleges and Universities, and in the federal agencies.

If you want to get political, it is the Democrats who ignore science.

It is Democrats who do not believe that life begins at conception.

It is Democrats who claim that men and women are interchangeable.

It is the Democrats who refuse to recognize that gender confusion is a treatable mental disorder.

It is the Democrats who claim that the science of Anthropogenic Global Warming is settled. Science is NEVER settled. The dominate factor in climate change is the Sun, not you, not carbon dioxide, not cow flatulence.

I would be concerned that the Pontifical Academy of Science is failing to do its job in this case. Are they leaning too far to the left?

The very least Francis could be doing is raising theological questions on the assertions made in the Islamic codex (which is their code of observance and behavior) known as Sharia, Beginning with this question
http://www.theusmat.com/islamandfreewill.htm
Instead of equating their bizzare concepts of what a Monotheistic Creator is and requires with what Judeo/Christian beliefs are. While they in the belief that they are following God’s command are ruthlessly murdering and torturing non believers and destroying their edifices.

For the U. S. at the very least.

I’m sure he’s quite upside with Trump voters also.

Oh well.
