Progressives...can’t live with ‘em, can’t kill ‘em...YET.
The first thing that was needed was a hammer at Policital Correctness (PC). Only Trump cared to push back against this, and he REALLY took it on his chin for all of this time. Without that, no conservative could have successfully uttered conservative thought to the populous.
Second, Trump was the only candidate that used a ready means to get around the State-controlled media (Twitter). This was absolutely needed, as well. The MSM as a filter has perverted every conservatives words for many decades.
That people still saw hypocrisy and joked about PC and the insanity of Liberalism (and were becoming scared of it) was key to what Trump saw and unleashed. When he uses yet another readily-available event to hallmark what Liberalism has wrought (normally due to the need to have a very public cover/distraction from another needed policy change (i.e - 0care and Iran tweaks), his now unleashed forces of good throughout the country independently fight liberals using the tools of the Internet. This has allowed two recent events (Weinstein and the NFL) to stand out publicly and let the anger bring down more than just those few protesters (NFL) and Weinstein, himself. Instead, they properly smear Liberalism and bring it down, not unlike all of the anti-PC work Trump has been doing, all along.
Its just a continuation of Trumpism. Think Crooked Hillary times ten, and this will continue to negatively affect Liberalism for some time to come.
Trump unshackled our country. What we do with this blessing, is up to us.
FTA: “The spectacle of a rich feminist and progressive icon like Jane Fonda whimpering about her own moral cowardice has destroyed the credibility we foolishly gave to Hollywoods dunces and poltroons.”
Many of us had a revelation about how ugly liberalism is all the way back her behavior during the Vietnam war. (relating my experience regarding Churchill’s quote about not being liberal when young, not having a heart; not being conservative when older, not having a brain.) We left that war but I don’t believe we’re going to leave this war. It’s too close to home.
Your ignorance places your post in jeopardy sir. The BSA is far from unraveling.
Your gross misunderstanding should prevent you from posting on the subject
The BSA had 4.8 million members at its peak in 1970. They’re down to 2.2 million now — even though the U.S. population has grown by more than 50% since 1970. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t see that as a complete disaster.
Troops and packs still thrive. The statistic has a parallel in the decline in church attendance.
The problem is not BSA, it is liberalism. It is winning
Bingo.
Not holding my breath, but hopeful.
That's the level the radical left has arrived at, but no, the rest won't be forced to listen.
That is their strength. I'm not sure conservative don't have a plan, rather that they don't act in unison like the left. Irrespective of individual issues. Not sure that's a weakness, though it can be in the short run.
That is a major risk, and there's no way of knowing if the values which made this country great will emerge on the other side. If it comes to that. Turmoil often begs for toltarian solutions.
Tillerson deserted the Boy Scouts too, didn’t he?
Great observation. Agree!
Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam.

Later. Thanks
Polished, for sure when well scripted and with his handlers. Mediocrity, not even close. Isn't his sole experience in the private sector one summer working at Baskin-Robbins? There isn't a single major party presidential candidate ever with a shallower resume, is there?
bump
BINGO!
Speaking of ‘straws that breaks the back of progressive ideology’ check this out
“Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report used to be a big progressive. He even had a show with The Young Turks! But now he’s not a progressive. He has left the left. Why? Dave Rubin shares his story.”
