The commies HATE the Second Amendment — more exactly they hate WHY the Second Amendment even exists. It is all about them.

"“No sportsman or woman needs 30 rounds to kill a deer"

Typical idiotic liberal doesn't know that deer rifles commonly use a five round magazine and hunters don't blaze away with a 30rd magazine in an AK or M16 to hunt with.

He also doesn't know there's hundreds of thousand 'assault rifles' out there courtesy of 0bama.

The democrats are like mosquitoes! They use every chance to introduce new laws which are only an interdiction to the people’s right to own and use guns, not any useful attempt to halt crime.

No sportsman or woman needs 30 rounds to kill a deer. It’s shameful that we protect our deer better than we protect our people.

Uh...what? We kill, eviscerate, skin, and butcher deer. That's pretty much illegal to do to people, even Congresspeople, even in Chicago. I'd have to check the local laws in St. Louis and Baltimore, though...

We all cheered the Heller decision, but when I read " commonsense legislation" I knew that we had won nothing.
Every gun control bill will be presented as "Commonsense legislation".

“There is simply no good reason why sportsmen and women need more than 10 rounds in a magazine,” said Esty in a statement. “No sportsman or woman needs 30 rounds to kill a deer. It’s shameful that we protect our deer better than we protect our people.”

Oh good Lord. These idiots still think the 2nd Amendment is about hunting?!? They possess a special kind of stupid.

But the NRA offered them bump stocks. That was supposed to make the gun grabbers go away.

I can’t believe anyone really belived that nonsense and defended the NRA position. You don’t give the freedom-haters an inch.

This is stupid. They’re basing these laws on feelings and intuition, these masterminds ‘just know’ what the proles need. No data to support these foolish ideas.

Reminds me of the NY SAFE Act, Cuomo ‘just knows’hoe many rounds you should have in your magazine to protect you in a home defense situation. Jackasses, all of them.

Who said anything about hunting deer, Esty?

"By calling attention to 'a well regulated militia,' the 'security' of the nation, and the right of each citizen 'to keep and bear arms,' our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important."

President John F. Kennedy

---------------------------------------------------

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible."

Vice President and Senator Hubert H. Humphrey

Just as I thought they would do. Adding every anti-gun wet dream they have had for the last 60 years to their bill.

““No sportsman or woman needs 30 rounds to kill a deer”

True.

It’s not about deer hunting

If I’m not mistaken, the last assault weapon ban that was allowed to sunset didn’t do a darn thing to halt gun violence at the hands of the street thugs...........

Did the Vegas shooter ever make any large volume gun purchased? I keep hearing this story. Did he buy all of those guns at once?

The horrific 1997 North Hollywood Shootout occurred right smack in the middle of the Assault Weapons Ban signed by Clinton. This law did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop the hundreds of rounds that were fired from illegally-modified weapons held by a couple who were career criminals.

When are Republicans going to stop playing defense on guns. They should be emphasizing responsible firearm training and getting people to learn more guns, instead of letting the Dems and media run with this sick narrative.

I have not seen any information about it but as of the appearance of this headline it is guaranteed there is a run on hi cap mags and people are downloading plans for hi cap mags. When are the Democrats going to try to license 3D printers? Printers are working fast to make trivialize restrictions on numbers, types, and capacities. Banning ammo sales will ramp up a black market in ammo and sales of loading equipment. Easily made plastic cartridges will developed and new easily acquired or made primers the same.
