Where are you, Colin Kaepernick? Symbol of America’s cultural tempest stays quiet

Even if he is nowhere to be seen on the playing grounds of professional football, Colin Kaepernick is everywhere these days.

The NFL’s most notable free agent continues to cast a massive shadow over the American sports landscape without taking a snap or uttering a peep.

It is without Kaepernick’s physical presence, just with the vestiges of what he started a year ago, that the first month of the football season has become a polarizing setting entangled in the country’s ongoing cultural tug-of-war.

“The longer Colin Kaepernick is not brought in from the cold, the more the National Football League is going to have a problem,” said Harry Edwards, the famed sports sociologist from UC Berkeley and San Jose State. “He should be on the team even if he is just holding a clipboard. It is in the best interest of the game.”

Edwards, the architect of the 1968 Olympics protest by San Jose State sprinters John Carlos and Tommie Smith, sent NFL commissioner Roger Goodell an email June 23 urging the executive to get ahead of the growing unrest initiated by Kaepernick’s demonstration highlighting police violence against African-Americans.

“It is going to become unmanageable, especially with this president,” Edwards warned.

I think Colin is looking for the key to the box where Nessa (or whatever the hell her name is) has his testicles locked up.

When a guy takes a dump in his mess kit, you don’t let him back in the tent.

LOL! He won’t even confirm or deny whether he’s stand for the anthem if hired. He let the Commie girlfriend do it for him!

Fire any player that refuses to stand for the flag and anthem. If a whole team kneels or sits, fire all of them and forfeit their games. The nation would thank you. We can live without “professional” football.

Exactly. This is why nobody cares what some douche professor from berkely thinks about anything, let alone sports.

at the end of “Requiem For A Heavyweight”, the washed-up boxer becomes a professional wrestler. I wonder; if Donald Trump was still involved in professional wrestling, would he sign Colin K. to headline a match?

Not if making money is the objective of the NFL.

These leftists do excel at one thing; they excel at being consistently wrong and this one is so wrong he makes of the other bad calls look nearly reasonable.

The Keap should never ever play pro-football again. He basically fired himself from the sport permanently. He's poison. Who wants poison on their team?

The thing to do is very simple. Let all the players know they are on the job when they are on the field. They are on the owners time; not their own. What they do on their own time is fine as long as it doesn't make the team or NFL in general look bad. When the boss says you stand in respect and knock off the kneeling of a fake protest about something that doesn't exist except in the minds of thugs and punks while on the field in front of cameras; then you knock off the kneeling. You can either be a man or a kneelgro. Pick one. If it's the latter then head to the locker room and leave all your stuff because you're off the team.

I guarantee those who are left will be of a much better caliber person and a better team player. Sometimes a season comes along when it's not about winning; it's about something far more important. Respect and integrity.

Colin Kaepernick has always been full Shiite.

If he meant it, he would have been a regular speaker on this subject.

The whole thing is a scam trying to gin up support for a guy whose career was over....

He can’t play football and he play a victim...
