Mexicans need to stop cooking chickens, beef, and pork , and using wheat flower. Those items were "stolen" from the Europeans.

Fine. Only white people can have access to things and concepts that were invented by white people.

Sounds fair.

And BTW, no black people can play basketball, since it was invented by a white man.

You mean like how the Mexicans appropriated flush toilets and indoor lighting? And penicillin? And ‘64 Chevies?

Intellectual property?

Things like electricity, indoor plumbing and air travel, all developed by those of European ancestry?

Will the good professor be eschewing use of those elements of modern society?

It is what happens when you have a true melting pot nation, where no bigotry exists and people celebrate their diversity.

Pueblo Indians had the right idea back in 1680 when they threw the Spanish out. They killed all the sheep, cows, as many horses as they could, all the chickens and were forced to go back to hunting deer and elk. They didn’t like it one bit!

Ten years later the Spanish were back.

I promise not to appropriate his culture’s practice of cutting the hearts out of live victims as an act of religious piety.

Mexicans should stop speaking Spanish. It was invented in Spain.

I thought imitation was the sincerest form of flattery.
"Cultural Appropriation" is a completely invented crime.
Imitation has been completely normal and accepted for millennia and now all of a sudden it isn't.
BS I say.

I’ll give up my “white appropriation” of tortillas and nacho chips if La Raza boy at U. Texas gives up his “brown appropriation” of white inventions like the internal combustion engine, the circuitboard, and alternating current.

The light bulb was invented by the white man, so anybody non-white is going to surrender all their light bulbs and not do business in any buildings with artificial light, right?

Logically, to re-set the cultural clock, every one needs to go back to where they came from.

That may be a trick seeing as so many are a blend of lots of things.

So we’ll start with those who are the most pure of one culture vs an amalgam.

“does not credit the source in any significant or meaningful way.”

The “source” probably died many years ago. If someone IS alive, and can prove they’re the source, let them copyright it. Then, no one will honor the cultural item by using it anymore, and it will slowly die out.

Otherwise, these people must stop making up arbitrary rules.

This Hispanic/Latina will gladly return to her distant cousins from Spain the wheat flour used to make those mugroso tortillas de harina and will continue to eat the healthier tortillas de maiz favored by my distant Native American cousins-but I steadfastly refuse to stop cooking and eating chickens, beef and pork-I will continue to appropriate that part of culture...

Is this assh*** professor really paid to contemplate nonsense like that? Actually, most of us American Mexicans have varying amounts of Native American DNA, so why is there a separate group for Native American studies? This is just feelgood bulls*** for snowflakes to whine about...
