Truman got the UN to send our troops. The UN in its bureaucratic way declared war.

That is not current.
I think it was back at the end of the Obama administration.
Relax. Not good, but not terrible.

If we could return to “gender” sanity, a universal male draft at age 18 would be just right, and I do mean universal Only actually disabled people would be exempt. It would be three or 6 months of basic infantry training after which none would be allowed to actually enlist for some period of time, say, a year or a month. Then we would have a population of young men who know what it is all about and there would be no lack of enlistments when they are needed. All the riots and resistance in the sixties was because it was not a universal draft and most feared it. If it is universal without any duty assignment than there is nothing to fear and young men become familiarized with it. If it is universal then some young men don’t get the educational jump on others by getting to go to school while others are drafted.

How about sending in drones to drop acid down the barrels of all their artillery by cover of dark?

Yes. One of the first clauses in the UN Charter is that UN members are prohibited from declaring war on another UN member.

They changed to script from “Dallas” to “Las Vegas” because of the Kennedy assassination.

The longest war in the history of the United States was started by a Republican....two of them actually and the costs are staggering in blood and treasure.

An infinitesimal one.

I have a hard time believing differential calculus.
You should be more deferential to differential calculus. _
What difference does it make? It's a slippery slope.
