Twitter Blocks Marsha Blackburn Campaign Announcement Video for ‘Inflammatory’ Pro-Life Message

Twitter has blocked Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn's (Tenn.) Senate campaign announcement ad, ruling that a pro-life statement was "inflammatory."

At one point in the video, Blackburn, who announced last week that she is running for the Senate in Tennessee, heralded how she "stopped the sale of baby body parts," a reference to her investigation into Planned Parenthood's reported practice of "donating" body parts in return for monetary compensation.

But a Twitter representative told the Blackburn campaign that Twitter blocked the ad from being promoted, calling it "an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction," the Associated Press reported Monday. Twitter said that Blackburn would have to repost the video without the flagged statement in order to advertise.

Instead, Blackburn—who is vying to replace Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tenn.), who will not seek another term—tweeted out a call to action on Facebook and Twitter, asking her followers to share the video themselves.

"Twitter shut down our announcement video ad, claiming it was ‘inflammatory' & ‘negative.' Silicon Valley should not be allowed to impose their values on us," she wrote on Facebook. "Join me in standing up to the liberal elite."

Blackburn's claim comes months after pro-life organization Live Action also reported that Twitter refused to let the group promote its adds unless it deleted tweets critical of Planned Parenthood.

Twitter will justify their move by claiming the Project Veritas video that caught Planned Parenthood in discussions over the sale of baby organs and tissues was “proven to be misleading.”

What they won’t mention is that the company that was hired by Planned Parenthood to write that report was Fusion GPS , the same company that came up with the fake golden showers dossier.

Nor will they mention Silicon Valley’s involvement in creating a Russian “silicon valley” with Obama era deals.

Since she is a more conservative Republican, attacks from the left such as this may help her campaign.

Corker is accused of corruption -- sweet heart deal with Alabama taxpayers. That deal may get money to Corker but cost any chance of re-election.

former Judge Roy Moore of Alabama is an example of the establishment trying to back someone else not working.

How can twitter and facebook shut down political commentary? Are they not a business in the same sense as say, A Christian bakery or florist?
“Public Accommodation. Generally, a public accommodation is any business that provides services to the public. Title II of the Civil Rights Act defines a public accommodation as any hotels, restaurants, theaters, or any business’ whose operations affect commerce.”

First up was incumbent Senator Bob Corker (R-TN), who made a surprise announcement on September 26 he would not run for re-election, one day after a Breitbart News report about his sweetheart deal in an Alabama retail center development in which Alabama taxpayers are set to pay him more than $3 million over 20 years in sales tax incentive rebates. Though his announcement that he would not seek re-election was couched in terms that claimed it had been made “[a]fter much thought, consideration and family discussion over the past year,” its suddenness–and the fact that Corker felt compelled to offer a lame and incomplete explanation for his investment in a deal that epitomizes the swamp in which the political elite thrive–underscores the potency of the Breitbart News report.

“That move by Twitter just got her more viewers for her message than anything she could have done. ..”

She’ll probably raise a lot of $$ over this.
