Have a tattoo? If the answer is “yes,” it’s more likely you’re unemployed or completely out of the labor force. On average, your income is lower. You’re more probably a smoker, use illegal drugs, engage in risky sexual behavior, have been a victim of crime, and have been incarcerated for committing crime yourself.

It is illegal (at least in the govt sector) to ask that question, doesn’t mean we don’t notice them.

Why should you get slammed; you were doing your job to protect your organizations reputation and good name!

The slamming I was anticipating was along the lines of "how dare you think that we're all punks! I'm a world famous brain surgeon who has tattoos from head to toe".

And I'm willing to assume that there are people with tats who give every indication of leading a respectable life...certainly when speaking of Freepers.Some times a tattoo is a sign of nothing more than a kid having had one night of a bit too much to drink and then doing something stupid.Having served in the Armed Forces I know that that happens more than occasionally for young Privates,PFCs,etc.

But my attitude,as I think I've already said,is that it's a danger sign that I wasn't willing to ignore.

Tattoos have nothing to do with race. You aren't born with a Tattoo (unless it is a 666 on top of your head and you are the Anti-Christ).

You are born with your skin color. To judge someone on the basis of a skin color they have no control over is racist. It is evil.

However to judge someone based on the ink stains they paid hard earned money on (in many cases your tax dollars) is not in any way, shape or form "racist."

I am judging people who get tattoos based on their behavior.

I suppose you equate dislike of the Homosexual agenda as "a racist way of thinking."

I suppose you also think that someone who thinks Islam is a Satanic Death Cult is using "a racist way of thinking."

Well the homosexual agenda is evil. Islam is evil. Racism is evil.

Tattoos, however, for the most part are stupid. They can also be evil.

I think tattoos are like clothing. If you come to a job interview for a professional job in shorts, sandals and a T-shirt, you can pretty much assume you are not going to get the job.

I work in a medium sized law firm and we actually had a guy come to an interview dressed like that. He was fairly highly qualified. His resume looked great. I think he was just trying to keep his unemployment going. He can claim he had job interviews, but no dice. Ah shucks. Off to the beach.

If you come to a job interview with Satan tats, or commie tats or some really trite proverb, you might as well come in shorts and sandals.

If you really just need the interview so you can document a job search for the Unemployment Department, then by all means dress down; get a temporary Nazi tat on your neck. Maybe a temporary 666 tattoo on your forehead. When your unemployment ends, you can always wash it off.

If you want to be permanently out of the job market, get a real tattoo.

Most people without tattoos have a severe mental defect.

Your opinion is duly noted.

We might even agree that a severe mental defect plays a serious role in how a modern civilized culture views the pathological need to self-inflict damage to one's body, and its potential negative effects on the health of others.
Where and how, exactly, however, and whose opinion should prevail, remains to be seen.

In the meantime, most of us will be the final judges on who we allow to prepare and serve the food we eat.

Ultimately, the problem will work itself out. No one can force me to agree to your original asinine childish narcissistic assertion, and to respond accordingly.
