As Democrats and Left-wing “progressive” anti-gun activists continue to push for gun bans and other erosions of the Second Amendment following the terrible mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday, it is well to remember that, once upon a time, a pair of notable Democrats did their best to ensure that kind of violence occurred as often as possible south of the U.S. border.
Early in President Obama’s tenure, he and Attorney General Eric Holder cooked up a scheme to send thousands of U.S.-based “assault weapons” — that is, semi-automatic rifles which cosmetically resemble real assault weapons — into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. The goal was to ensure the guns led to maximum death and carnage so that the Obama administration could then push for far stricter gun control laws that included complete bans on certain weapons.
The operation was called “Fast and Furious,” and it was run by an agency that answered to Holder Justice Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
As reported by the New York Post, the operation was a Department of Justice-run program that allowed thousands of rifles including .50-caliber rifles with a range of nearly two miles and powerful enough to take down a helicopter to be sold to the cartels, allegedly so they could be “tracked” back to the illegal drug-running operations.
However, the Post noted, “internal documents later revealed the real goal was to gin up a crisis requiring a crackdown on guns in America.
“Fast and Furious was merely a pretext for imposing stricter gun laws,” the Post noted — even if that meant scores of people would have to die in order to achieve the political objective of more gun control.
Talk about sick.

Yes, I remember. The Mexican cartel violence is well-known here in Arizona, where cartel spotters are parked atop hilltops and mountain ranges 50-60-70 miles north of the border to keep tabs on the cartel drug mules. In deep southern Arizona, there are signs in English warning American citizens that it is a dangerous place to be. THOSE are the folks Jeffy Flake and John McCain are protecting as well as the dreamers.
Let's call Fast and Furious what it is. State-sponsored terrorism.
On this side of the border it's violations of the RICO Act. In Mexico and Honduras it's state-sponsored terrorism.
What else would you call heavily arming international criminal syndicates within a foreign country wherein that country is in a death struggle with those syndicates?
Especially when it goes beyond thousands of assault rifles to include grenades, RPGs, shoulder fired rockets, anti-aircraft guns, night vision equipment, body armor and special deals to bring their drugs onto our soil with legal impunity?
Not to mention that the rip crew that killed BP Agent Brian Terry was there with DEA and FBI assistance and approval to attack and kill a rival cartel's smuggling crew.
Let's not leave out the DEA laundering millions of dollars for the drug cartels by setting up bank accounts for them that they otherwise couldn't do.
It's organized, it is spread through every Federal LEA and it violates numerous domestic laws and numerous statutes and treaties that deal with foreign nations. Yet none of it has been officially sanctioned. It's the FedGov acting like mafiosa.

The Sheeple have no memory. The dems and the b’s media where drumming gun running from US to Mexico. Even Hidabeast Clinton was making waves. After the death of Brian Terry, the media (jurnor list members) and the dems went silent the next day after it was revealed the true source of the firearms (ATF) which was leaked out.
There is someone (deep state?) controlling the dems and media and gave orders to not speak of gun running.
This can be seen now with Purto Rico and Las Vegas.

Any day now those who are oh-so-concerned about evil & corruption (those checking into Trump’s collusion with the Russians) will turn their attention to this very real travesty. /sarc (**crickets**)
