BTW I have no German ancestry that I know of, so I don’t have a personal dog in the Silesia fight.
My Polish ancestors were from Silesia forced to flee, because of the Kulturkampf there.

Huh? This is not a Poland vs. Germany thing. And it has nothing to do with 1920 (when, by the way, Poland saved Europe from communism).
This is a Poland vs. Merkel thing. Or a Poland vs. the EU thing, if you wish.
Anyone who values the concept of national sovereignty should be with Poland on this.

as part of the deal negotiated in the 90‘s. Berlin gave up any and all claims to Polish occupied territory ( aka the 1937 borders ) in exchange for Warsaw being a good buddy.
We’re still paying for things the British did 250 years ago to native Canadians (with no end in sight), so 78 years is recent history.

Statue of limitations? People still cry about reparations for slavery, and that was a much longer period of time ago.
I disagree with the PiS government's agenda to get reparations, BUT I understand what they're trying to do -- The Germans want Poland to take Muslim "refugees" and is threatening sanctions if Poland doesn't. This is a counter-suing action.
I think Poland should use any money they get from Krautistan and build a big beautiful wall along the Oder-Niesse line to keep out the godless hordes.
