Thanks for posting so I can boycott them.
Stick to spices a__hole.
And no, spices aren't just spices. But I won't support this guy's anti-American values.
Hardly ever cook with recipes, so spices aren't much of an issue here.
My basic spice is pepper and any kind of really hot, hot sauce. Beyond that, not at all.

The Milwaukee Spice House has the same spices but do not share the same political views. I order from them...can’t live without their chili powder that they mix themselves.
I originated that post and can report that my wife and I have refrained from visiting Penzey’s stores and website since being insulted by his newsletter. And we still have a large quantity of the products previously purchased.
I am in the market for peppercorns, though, and will find an alternate source. Yer dead to me, Billy Boy! You’ll never get another penny from this family!
There is no way his sales went up when he alienated half of his customers. It’s just not logical. Something conservatives understand but liberals have no clue about.

It is best to buy whole spices and grind them yourself. You can also make your own blends this way. They will be much much better than anything Penzy has to sell.
What kind of peppercorns are you looking for?
I like a mix of black, white and red. They can be surprisingly expensive!
I like Williams-Sonoma 5-pepper blend peppercorns.
I was going to start a spice business myself, so I have priced black peppercorns at numerous places. When I get to my computer tomorrow I’ll let you know the ones that had the cheapest, if you’re interested. Now I haven’t bought from everyone so I don’t know the quality. For the most part the Webstaurant store has great prices although shipping is expensive. But if you buy quantity there it makes it worth it. I’m not sure they had the variety though. I was only looking at the black peppercorns myself.
Thanks for your suggestions, ponygirl! I’ll have a look!
Appreciate your effort, my friend!
You’re welcome! (And while you’re there, have a look at the Peugeot pepper grinders. They are great! And make good gifts, too. I probably went through half dozen different pepper grinders before I found this one.)
Quite an assortment of grinders! I have a pair of lucite grinders that work quite well, so not really in the market at this time. But appreciate your bringing them to my attention.
Wangermann? LOL.
Paul Newman once said, I hated competition in business until I started Newmans Own. Now, I dont want to just outsell the other guy. I want to destroy him!
