After the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, Bill Penzey, Jr. criticized Donald Trump and his supporters in an email to his customers. The store reported increase in sales after the letter went out.

I do wonder how he'd feel if some segment of his employees started including notes, stickers, whatever literature, in customers' boxes that went counter to his belief system?
I think they took a tremendous hit in the wallet. I go in for the freebies where I don’t have to buy anything and the place is dead as a doornail.
