...and undermine Trump’s clout with his core voters.

Costa wishes. Trump's core knows perfectly well who is the roadblock in DC and the Alabama contingent just sent their part of that to the showers with a resounding "You're fired!" Trump played ball with the GOPe and endorsed Strange and they didn't manage to deliver anything at all in return.

My take is that Trump isn't going to pay one little bit for that endorsement, especially when he backs Moore, which he has to do anyway. So, for that matter, do McConnell and the boys if they want to maintain their majority. I'm now beginning to question that: would they toss that majority in order to spite Trump? Given the infantile level of spite in the person of John McCain, I'm afraid they would. But Trump's calling the shots now, and it's either get on the train or face Strange's fate. Mitch McConnell, are you listening?

This undermines nothing with the Trump voters no matter the hopes of the Goebbelsmedia.

The WP analysis is 180 degrees out of phase. Roy Moore won exactly the same way President Trump did. He read the mood of the MAJORITY of conservatives and promised he would implement their wishes.

I hope this trend continues and all the swamp dwelling congress critters are eradicated. The weak ones must be paralyzed with fear by now. Bu Bye steve flake.

"Trump’s support for Strange was only for show."

You nailed it! President Trump's 3-D chess has the GOPe hoping he will campaign for their reelection too. They will be good and help him pass some bills. We want that. Check mate.

The Post is Bezo’s anti Trump rag.... If they are excited its because they foolishly think that this primary challengers and threats of primary challeger’s will take out more moderate Republicans so that Democrats can wind up taking the seats... Won’t happen, but that’s how they think.

Sounds good to me. When Bannon said he’d be more influential outside the WH helping Trump, boy he wasn’t kidding. He can keep on with BB and pushing these GOP-e out the door the better we all are including POTUS.

Bannon is out headhunting Rinos.
I know POTUS threw support behind Strange but I think most of us understand he was doing this as some compromise because Strange is more of a Mitch boy. However we know Moore will be better for the agenda.
I like this arraignment. Bannon out here stomping for and helping challengers to the establishment GOP in 2018 that have blocked POTUS.
They really better call a preacher because they’re gonna need some prayers.
I didn’t think Bannon really meant it when he said he would be more helpful to get POTUS agenda through out of the WH.
It appears he’s going to work to get some of these GOP swamp creatures gone and not just with BB.

I think my state of Michigan will have the most fun in the 2018 GOP primary season. Whichever establishment hack decides to take on Kid Rock for Stabmenow’s Senate seat will be in for a world of hurt. It’s gonna be fun and entertaining to watch. Trust me.
