At some point, if the NFL persists it's anti-American position(and Goodell isn't fired), the collapse in cartel power becomes a potential business shark card game. Like all things in life, the Pareto principle applies ie the 80/20 rule. Same is true with the NFL - one could reasonably conclude that Dallas, DC, Giants, Chicago, GB, Pitt & NE are the Big 7.
If just a few got together and convinced another 8-10 teams to create a new league, it would be tantamount to going pig in a hi-lo poker game. Without the dilution of all the other minor, 2nd tier teams, the new rump league could probably generate the same amount of revenue with less than 1/2 the teams.
Of course, for any of this to work, the teams would have sweep clean any conflicts. For one, the Kneelers, Pats and others would have to issue a strong mea culpa and promise to never do it again. The new league would have to institute rules about behavior & termination, with a collective promise from other teams to enforce a black list.
It could work. The NFL only appears monolithic, but that's fairly recent history. Up until the 50s, the league was in constant financial peril. The 50s & 60s saw (successful) competing leagues and expansion.
At present, the entire league is TV driven. A new league, with a new start, adapted to new viewing alternatives, may have come about anyway at some point in the future. If this boycott continues - as I believe it will because it's incredibly simple to effectuate by simply *doing nothing*, then the downstream effects are going to become really interesting.
Black players are being exploited by white leftists, who want to destroy their livelihoods, deprive them of their millions and disrupt the communities and familiies who come together once a week.

Kaepernick did not one day just wake up and said he hated this country. The NFL has been in existence since 1920. All those turbulent decades - through the 60s - black players played together with white players and all stood for the anthem. Now America is racist and evil?

I'm thinking the ratings numbers can be massaged to be better than what they really are. I'm also thinking that the majority of the country is pissed at these friggin' assholes and won't watch!
They couldn’t be “exploited” if they didn’t already feel that way. Unforunately a large pecentage of blacks in this country have been brought up to hate and resent America.
I'd probably go one step further and add the last verse of the Anthem to be sung, while clips of injured Vets salute the flag on crutches, wheel chairs, etc. to "educate" all Americans what genuine sacrifice and the true meaning of "hero" is all about.

You are so right TChris, they forgot about the “Dixie Chicks” debacle. They stood up at a concert in England and openly Disparaged the USA and the current Administration. This resulted in professional suicide for them as they alienated over 85% of their FAN base. That was over 12 years ago and they still have not recovered and will not at this stage.
You know the line we’re not allowed to say or protest anything they do and we got to just take their s*** constantly. I mean I’m pretty sure that when you knew for that Anthem you are supporting a movement called black lives matters and they are you shot and killed by police officers in Dallas and the Cowboys are doing this but that’s fine
In their stupid zeal to be anti Trump they’re forgetting the fact of why he made those statements in the first place. And they’re also forgetting why CK was kneeling and what it represents. They are telling their majority-white viewers that yeah we support black lives matters and the whole Ferguson lie of hands up don’t shoot.
