NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” analyst Cris Collinsworth called on President Donald Trump to apologize for calling players protesting the national anthem “SOBs.”

“I would say he should apologize,” Collinsworth stated Sunday. “They’re not SOBs. They’re smart, thoughtful guys. They really are.”

If they were “smart, thoughtful guys” they wouldn’t be alienating a huge chunk of their paying customers.

"Smart, thoughtful guys" don't gratuitously piss off more than half the people who are funding them.

I feel sorry for season ticket holders who spent a lot of money on what's now a shit-show. We TV folks can avoid the NFL without losing a cent. They have to pay outrageous prices and "personal seat license" fees to watch these overstuffed, ungrateful thugs prance around like they've cured cancer every time they make a play.

NFL gets billions in subsidies from U.S. taxpayers

http://money.cnn.com/2015/01/30/news/companies/nfl-taxpayers/index.html

If you’re a U.S. taxpayer then you’re subsidizing the wildly profitable National Football League, regardless of whether you’re a fan.

The NFL is the most profitable pro sports league in the U.S., raking in an estimated $1 billion in profits on $10.5 billion in revenue last season, figures that are sure to increase this year.

Those massive profits are made possible in part by the billions of taxpayer dollars that local governments spend on teams, coupled with tax breaks worth hundreds of millions for the teams, the league, their sponsors and fans...

http://www.ibtimes.com/nfl-nba-mlb-stadium-funding-how-federal-government-loses-billions-subsidizing-sports-2413872

How the federal government is involved in this.

In fact, while the researchers estimated that the government has subsidized $3.2 billion worth of stadium construction since 2000 the real cost is even higher. That’s “because high-income bond holders receive a windfall gain for holding municipal bonds, the resulting loss in total revenue to the federal government is even larger at $3.7 billion,” the study noted...

BOTTOM LINE: President Trump, strip the tax-exempt status of municipal bonds used to subsidize sports stadiums and teams.

It is not the purpose of muni bonds to support private organizations, but so that cities and states can create and maintain infrastructure. To make matters worse, money that *should* have been used for infrastructure is instead diverted to sports teams, leaving these governments and their taxpayers IN DEBT.

I always thought Collinsworth resembled a ventriloquist’s dummy. Now I know he is; Obama and Hillary must take turns.

Black Lives Matter is a racist terrorist organization that promotes the killing of innocent police officers!

NFL is stupid to be goaded by their black football players into supporting a baseless political issue of the racist terrorist organization, BLM!

Don’t poop where you eat, dudes! Don’t you realize you are killing the dream for the next generation of black brothers!

You are 110% correct. The rabid LEFT is smarter than us. They quickly conjure up a BOYCOTT of ADVERTISERS.
If WE had a brain (and I think I do), WE would compile a list of ALL advertisers on NFL Football and find other sources for the same stuff.
I’ve boycotted ALL NFL activities save for my “formerly” beloved Patriots. Now..it olde movies for me.
I checked my list of advertisers and was happy to learn that each and every product and/or service was available elsewhere.
Also, why are they still called the “PATRIOTS”?

Collinsworth seems to ignore the FACT that there are many players in the NFL who never knew their fathers until the day that they were drafted into the NFL, when they suddenly appeared.
