“Trump doesnt want him, hes just playing the game. I am sure Trump will welcome with open arms Moore when he is elected.”
I thought this at first and still do. However it does beg the question that Trump doesn’t seem to playing the same game with Flake as with Strange. Trump has pretty much made it clear that he will work against Flake but so far has taken a different approach with Strange.
I think it may be because Strange has not been as (though some) personally and vocally hostile to Trump as Flake?
Strange is McConnell’s boy, no doubt, but he hasn’t done the sorts of things Flake has done... for crying out loud, this is an article by Flake:

Can you really blame Trump for going all in against this yokel? Strange may be an establishment GOP guy, but he hasn’t been a nutter neverTrumper like Flake.
They have treated Trump differently so its not surprising to see Trump has treated them differently... perfectly sane and rational. I personally think Trump would prefer Moore without question, but Strange hasn’t remotely done anything like Flake has done to him. Plus Trump probably knows like anyone whose ever been to Alabama for more than a day in the last decade could tell you... Moore’s winning this thing with ease, nothing short of a miracle or fraud will change that. Trump endorsing Moore, would be a huge and public slap in the face to McConnell, and Strange, but it wouldn’t sway the election... just like Trump endorsing Strange won’t change the outcome...
Trump can embarrass McConnell in a million different ways, he doesn’t need to do that... save that powder for a primary that would be closer and against a bigger problem that Strange... IMHO.. why start that fight for no gain other than publicity?
