It’s not that Laura is disliked.... it is she just isn’t liked so much. This is nothing personal, she is probably a great human being but lacks something in the vocation she seeks.
I think you misunderstand the fair and balanced tag line. It was meant for their news division. The evening programming is not intended to be fair and balanced as it acts as the op ed pages.
Bears repeating. Many people miss the distinction. Thanks for pointing that out.
:-) And our blue ribbon prize winner?
Both contribute a good deal of information and both are appreciated when they do. That being said, there are times when neither should be allowed out of bed.
I think FNC did away with slogan: fair and balanced a month or so ago.
Feh.
Yes, the interruptions are like a tic for him or something. It’s so annoying. He does it with Jay Sekolow a lot and I just want to hear what Jay has to say but Hannity will drone on and on about things he said the day before.
I was more referring to the programming. He was at his best during the campaign as he provided a forum for pro Trump coverage. And he left the content to the Trump team. He’s at his best being more of a Drudge Report of TV - aggregating the top content providers and letting them tell the story.
This is a big ‘nothingburger’...Hannity used to be ‘up against’ Maddow for YEARS before Kelly came along. Yawn.

FOX NEWS looks like it is shoring up the conservative base before BREITBART NEWS hits the airwaves. Deep down it’s still liberal.
Could not disagree more!!!
Wonder how bad the ratings have crashed since BOR and Eric Bolling bit the dust?
I agree with dumping Juan, Shep and Wallace, but would add Trish, Kat, and fowler.
Yup. I have not watched FOX news for years now. They went liberal and I went away. I get my news from the Internet now. I come here first thing to see what is going on and track what is happening around the globe. You FReepers are tops when it comes to putting up the headlines and I check out the best people reporting what is going on at Free Republic News Reporting with its several thousands of reporters!!! The CEO of Free Republic News, Jim Robinson, is conservative and a lot of the folks here are also, don’t fall for that lie that everyone here is conservative, there are a thousand that are flaming liberals, you see it in their posts. But Jim runs a great ship, the reason I have been here since the 1990s. I used another name when I first started, but changed and use my RetiredArmy now, as I like that better. Keep up the good work FReeper Reporters!!!!!!
At this point, what difference does it make?
Not that I watch more than incidentally, but I didn’t realize that Hannity had been at 10pm since 2013. Seemed more recent than that.
>> The genius of Roger ailes, the ultimate conservative was to insist on fair and balanced <<
100% correct, IMHO.
Moreover, I think Ailes also displayed genius by selecting — for the most part — physically less attractive people to defend the leftwing viewpoint:
Think Combes vs. Hannity, for example. Or Mary Anne Marsh vs. various leggy blonde conservative babes.
In other words, it seems to me that the audio of FNC has generally been somewhat more “fair and balanced” than the video.
Has that tilt been good or bad?
Dunno. No complaint from me. But on the other hand, “We report, you decide.”
You don’t have a DVR??
I only have standard cable. Why would I need a DVR? All of the FNC programs can be found on Youtube commercial free within hours of their original times.
It’s been so long since I watched Fox, that I thought Hannity was always on at 9pm.
