I’m 73. Have been a Republican for over 50 years and have not wavered. It’s 100 steps up from the Democratic Party.

And just who would this never-Trump senate confirm?

Not a friend of the president and probably no one but a card carrying member of the swamp

Sessions is not the enemy. He is trying to drain the swamp.

Here are what some of the enemies of Jeff Sessions are saying (go to the articles for the specific accomplishments):

Jeff Sessions has done more damage in his first 100 days than his boss

US attorney general Jeff Sessions may not be part of the biggest investigation in the Department of Justice, but as he reaches 100 days in office, there’s little doubt that he’s had an important impact on the American criminal-justice system—potentially for years to come.

Despite the political turmoil of the Trump administration, Sessions has moved to reverse a tide of progressive reform and to fulfill his boss’s law-and-order agenda, a collection of concepts loosely articulated during the 2016 presidential campaign. Sessions’ biggest actions, from undermining federal oversight of police departments to cracking down on undocumented immigrants, have worried a wide array of lawmakers, law-enforcement leaders, advocates and scientists.

“Of all the cabinet members, maybe even the president, he has to this point had the most significant impact as to policy changes,” said Jesselyn McCurdy, the deputy director at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Washington Legislative Office told Quartz.

Unlike his boss, Sessions is delivering on what he has promised—sometimes on causes he has championed for decades.

“There’s been a great bipartisan movement by organizations on the ground and members of Congress to reform the federal criminal-justice system, based on successes that have happened in the states, but the leader of opposition to that reform was Jeff Sessions, as a senator from Alabama,” McCurdy said. “These are all things that [Sessions], as a criminal justice reform opponent, had on his radar already.

McCurdy said Sessions was “definitely” living up to the ACLU’s concerns, and in some areas, fulfilling the worst-case scenarios.

Jeff Sessions ushers in 'Trump era' at the Justice Department

In just over two months, Sessions has proved to be a central figure in effectuating Trump's vision for America in tangible ways on immigration, crime, police reform and civil rights.

And while the White House searches for new messaging to frame what Trump has accomplished in the first 100 days in office, Sessions has single-handedly managed to make several significant domestic policy changes -- from pressing pause on implementing police reforms to withdrawing Obama-era protections for transgender students in public schools.

His radical transformation of the Justice Department's role is no accident.

Many of the changes Sessions has made thus far track a familiar principle of federalism: the notion that the federal government's powers are limited and it can't coerce states into action. In other words, the federal government should get out of the states' way.

Sessions' critics worry that he is well on his way to undoing many of the major progressive achievements of his predecessors, often by withdrawing from court cases or previous directives that fail to align with his views. Yet Trump supporters cheered Sessions on during the presidential campaign when he said, "the American people are not happy with their government."

Now that Sessions is the nation's top law enforcement officer, his defenders and critics universally agree: he's been busy fulfilling the President's campaign promises and he's just getting started.

It’s one of the few explanations I can find for why DC is so stuck.

Paralyzed with fear that the dirty secrets will out.

Trump got in because she didn’t even IMAGINE she would need his.

Unfortunately for him, though, he is stuck with members of Congress, bureaucrats, and judges who are being blackmailed with the knowledge.

Here in WV it’s Patrick Morrisey who wants to run against Manchin for the Senate in ‘18.

As for showing “progress” as AG, how about purging 46,000 - and still counting - names from the voter rolls this year. Not bad in a state with less than 2 million voters.

The biggest failure of this administration was picking the cabinet and failing to drain the swamp overall. Many President Trump appointments are gone or should be gone because they are worthless while an incredible amount of Obama holdovers are taking up space and impeding the Trump Administration continuously.

Read your bio. Says you’re not a Republican....which makes you a Dem.

One would think that with 73 years on the planet, some wisdom would be attained. But statements like this and your incomprehensible support of Sessions puts the lie to that thought.

PS...I'm 72 and am NOT now, have NEVER been and WILL never be a member of the Republican branch of the UniParty!

Thank you. I despise the Sessions bashing. It’s easy to tear down and you are 100% correct Sessions work is not front page material. Especially since the Globalists hate the things he has been accomplishing.

How can people ignore his work with ICE, his digging in and putting the agency on track to hire 1300 new agents, the gang arrests and deportations, the largest ever health care fraud enforcement action by the Medicare Fraud Strike Force, arrest of human trafficking and child pornography networks of an unprecedented magnitude, multiple convictions of identity theft rings. Just follow the DOJ news to see what Jeff Sessions is accomplishing.

Example from yesterday
Justice Department Secures $907,000 from Citifinancial for Illegally Repossessing Active Duty Servicemembers’ Vehicles

People lose touch with the fact that Jeff Sessions is responsible for multiple agencies (39) https://www.justice.gov/agencies/chart
Many of those agencies were politicized and others had been forced to ignore their missions.

Jeff Sessions’ first order of business was to get the house of DOJ in order: set priorities and enforcement policies, throw out the rotten potatoes, streamline operations and thin the herd. There was a process of listening, watching and then redefining while getting his employees on board.

It would have been inappropriate to divert his energies to people, who though they have broken the law, would be perceived as political enemies. He would have delegitimized the administration and accomplished little except sound and fury. Like any other law breaker I believe Hillary Clinton’s time will come through careful & patient work. The least in the news the better the chances of a final incarceration. Jeff Sessions was right not to squander the opportunity to set the DOJ back on a foundation of following the laws and to concentrate first on the areas of crime that have been allowed to flourish for 8 years and are causing so much hardship & pain to American on a wide scale.

I think if ANY investigation was conducted they would encompass the Congress. These people are not going to block anyone from any position if they are proven dirty. Get the work done quickly and put a new AG up. If the vote against him have a special counsel start indicting all the Dems. I am sure this will change a few votes and that is all that is needed.

As you all know, actions speak louder than words. If Trump doesn’t want Sessions to be Attorney General then all he has to do is dismiss him. The fact that Trumps speaks ill of Sessions belies the fact that he keeps him as AG. Perhaps Sessions is actually doing Trump’s bidding.
