Yes that was strange. First the news of election night plans and then the fireworks cancelled due to (probably a cover story) some fire department regulations. What I also found strange was the two campaigns reversed themselves election night. Trump ran a showy spectacular one with huge rallies. H the exact opposite small rallies with not much enthusiasm. Then on election night H is at the Javits Center with a big crowd ready to break the symbolic glass ceiling. Trump is at a much smaller New York Hilton ballroom. If you go by the venues H was still expecting to win at least when the plans were drawn up and places booked. The Fireworks cancellation was about a week prior to election day though.
The story doesn’t make a lot of sense. First, it’s pretty far out for a helicopter flight from DC on Friday afternoons. Maybe a 2.5 hour flight by chopper. AF One? You’d have to land at some county airport (10 miles away).
I didn’t think she had any real connection to Chappaqua...maybe six weeks a year there at the max. Most of the time, she was living out of a condo in the DC area for the past five years.
The Establishment Media was so in favor of Hillary she became woefully complacent even though there were many troubling signs her campaign was failing.
