Until recently, it was easy to define our most widely known corporations. Any third-grader could describe their essence. Exxon sells gas; McDonalds makes hamburgers; Walmart is a place to buy stuff. This is no longer so. Todays ascendant monopolies aspire to encompass all of existence. Google derives from googol, a number (1 followed by 100 zeros) that mathematicians use as shorthand for unimaginably large quantities. Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google with the mission of organizing all knowledge, but that proved too narrow. They now aim to build driverless cars, manufacture phones and conquer death. Amazon, which once called itself the everything store, now produces television shows, owns Whole Foods and powers the cloud. The architect of this firm, Jeff Bezos, even owns this newspaper.

Zuckerberg is simply a Jewish Hitler! He needs to “team up” with fellow capo, George Soros.
I don’t understand why we wouldn’t break up the tech Giant’s now that they have become top to bottom Market dominators. The Menace of their Monopoly is far more dangerous than AT&T or Standard Oil ever was.
The fact that they are anti-American and Hate Everything the founders stood for just makes it a work of pleasure instead of necessity.
The Bare Essence of our Founders Vision was that the individual Reigns Supreme in their world. The Bare Essence of the tech industry is it someone besides the individual should make the decisions.
While we worry about an Iranian bomb or what dictator rules North Korea, or which camel jockey variant of Islam is our friend, our freedom will be killed by our Tech Giants.
Zuckerberg want talking about integrity. He add talking about stripping individuals of the right or ability to have any privacy.
That isn’t good, except to Mao maybe.
Microsoft?
And it does nothing to stop your neighbors from being misinformed by google-youtube
Thanks, just changed over to that next time I need to search for anything.
See the Tom Hanks movie “The Circle”. It illustrates the erosion of privacy in Silicon Valley corporate culture and how people can easily be persuaded to welcome the surveillance state.
The next day I starting getting ads for head lice products.

I did, a long time ago.
Use fake information on every site.
I don’t know about that.
As human beings, we a social creatures, but still exist in many different social circles.
My mother knew and called me by my full first name, and still saw me as kid. We had a parent child relationship until the day she died.
Meanwhile, I am known in my business world by my diminutive nickname, people see me as a wise, older person with clout and reach.
My just about grown kids know me as Daddy. Just a terrible joke & pun maker and good ole person wanting the youngsters to have fun while keeping up on their chores and eventually having the skills and spirit to make something of themselves, even and especially after I’m gone. I’m the guy always saying “Have fun (no booze, sex or drugs!), take out the trash, don’t come home too late and don’t be a dumb or smart ass.”
So in that context, I serve 3 very different roles, and to that extent am three different personalities.
