A student group at an elite Ivy League school recently held a convocation meant specifically for black individuals.
Harvard Universitys Black Student Association hosted the schools first-ever Black Convocation, an event that focused on the alleged challenges associated with being black at Harvard, according to Harvards student newspaper, The Harvard Crimson.

Did they hold the convocation at the blacks-only lunch counter or next to the blacks-only water fountain?
The jokes just write themselves...
You want a challenge being black? Go walk through the South Side of Chicago or North Philly.
Attending an elite university (most likely on a full scholarship) is a privilege...

challenges associated with being black at Harvard,
I bet Malia Obama shows up. That girl has had to struggle for everything. No White Privilege for her.
Is that like a deal where one can self identify as an AA? Is that what ‘talcum x’ did? ;-)
There are two kinds of black students at Harvard. There are those whose grades and test scores gained them admittance on merit. And then there are the affirmative action kids, who are at the bottom of their class the moment they walk in the door. The latter can look forward to a miserable four years at Harvard, if they last that long. The former will always labor under the stigma of being presumed to be the latter.
Once, integration was considered the ideal.... now a lot of leftists promote segregation, how tragic!
If you attend one of the most “elite” universities you should be especially proud to take your place amidst ALL of your peers.... unless you have reason to know or suspect you aren’t really their academic “peer” (aka “Affirmative Action”).
What I remember about school way back in the 80’s was that I woke up. Then I went to classes. Then I did whatever homework was necessary. Then I did stuff with friends usually involving a krap ton of drinking.
Dear Black People. Please send me a list of these things that you are not allowed to do. Is your walk to class obstructed in some way? Do people shoot spit balls at you in class so that you cannot concentrate? Do white people stand outside your dorms clanging cymbals to prevent you from studying or doing homework? Are you being prevented from making friends and doing things with them? What is it exactly that is more difficult for you?
Especially in this day and age where you have more than one generation who were raised to believe any form of racism is anathema
Must be black flight. Or maybe it is white flight. Some people just want to get away from loud, obnoxious Africans and I can’t say I blame them.
Yes it is true, the Alt-Right has the run of the Ivies.
What about the hardships of those privileged white students?
Didn't you read the article? The poor dear said they weren't "welcomed as they should be."

Equal but separate.
Nicely said!
They should have a group “being red at Harvard”. Oh wait, that’s the faculty.
Did they remind them that they are specially privileged, and that they get priority in admissions, and free tuition, paid for by those whose test scores have to be 20% higher to get admitted?
Sure. Fine. Whatever. (eye roll)
