Sebastian Gorka is resigning his post as Deputy Assistant to President Trump, multiple sources familiar with the situation have told The Federalist.
In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. [G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are for now ascendant within the White House, Gorka wrote. As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the Peoples House.
Gorkas letter expressed unhappiness with the direction the Trump administrations foreign policy has taken, as signaled by the presidents recent speech on Afghanistan:
Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will Make America Great Again, have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week
The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost
Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.
During his time in the Trump administration, Gorka focused on issues such as countering the Muslim Brotherhood, the crisis in Qatar, drafting a new long-term national security strategy, and combatting Chinas economic warfare. Before coming to the White House, Gorka was an editor for national security affairs for Breitbart News, where he worked with Steve Bannon, who also recently departed the administration.
Gorkas tenure at the White House was marked by unusually vociferous attacks against him and his family by left-leaning media organizations and the Democratic Party. This includes personal attacks against his wife, mother, and son.
A source close to the White House said of his decision, This was more or less going to be a done deal when Bannon submitted his resignation. Not because he didnt have a protector, but because there is no point in having your life ruined every day if youre not going to get much accomplished. The same source said that what did change after Bannon left was that anti-Bannon factions began erecting bureaucratic road blocks to undermine Gorka internally.
The Forward has written dozens of attack pieces against Gorka, including several attempting to align him with Nazism. Most recently that publication retracted a story about his sons schoolwork. Gorka strenuously objected to allegations he had ties to Nazi groups in his familys home country of Hungary, where he had previously been involved in national politics. Even detractors eventually acknowledged the Nazi accusations were unfair smears.
In his letter, Gorka made clear that he believes in the promise of the Trump presidency despite being concerned about its present direction.
Your presidency will prove to be one of the most significant events in modern American politics. November the 8th was the result of decades during which the political and media elites felt that they knew better than the people who elect them into office. They do not, and the MAGA platform allowed their voices to be heard, he wrote, adding, Millions of people believe in, and have chosen, you and your vision of Making America Great Again. They will help eventually rebalance this temporary reality.

Hannity said Gorka will be on Monday night.
But IF they do, I'll be one of the first to trash them. ;^)
But I doubt that he'll say anything against the president.
There is war heating up and Trump needs Jared to make U.S. desires known there. Iran moving troops into Syria, now manufacturing weapons in Syria, Netanyahu says Israel will do what it has to to prevent war—slight change from saying to defend itself.
Everything will be done to try to prevent this war but it will happen anyway. Israeli defense action against weapons manufacture or deployment will be used as pretext for invasion.
>> I hope this doesnt mean that the McMaster wing has not achieved full control that would be a disaster.
Looks like the Muzzies and the Marxists have made Trump a Chump.
And we all laughed when they said, #FireBannonMillerGorka.
I’ll join you.
Well said!!

“Other than the Afghanistan policy being modified, virtually everything else is being done according to the President’s campaign promisescertainly about as good as could be reasonably expected. Any blame for failures to implement MAGA lies squarely at the feet of the GOPe cowards in Congress. Practically speaking, they’ve done more to weaken this president than the Democrats have, quite frankly. The proof of that is the yuge mumber of primary challenges that we’re going to see in 2018 on the GOP side. It’s apparent already.
So Sebastian Gorka can moan about being isolated and there not being enough Bannon types in the White House, but as far as I can see, the man at the top is still 100% MAGA.
It’s Gorka who looks like a whiny loser whose actions only exacerbate the problem he’s complaining about. It’s as if he is saying “It’s too hard! I quit!”
Until there are some kind of pronounced changes in President Trump’s domestic policies which don’t comport with “make America great again” and “drain the Swamp”, I’ll refrain from the predictable second-guessing. There appear to be a sufficient number of armchair quarterbackson both the Left and Rightplaying that role...”
“short-skirted Afghani girls, just a couple decades ago. And this was to show that there HAD been a time that Afghanistan really had been more secular and accepting.”
I took it a little differently. I felt that when he saw “normal” Westernized girls there in the past, he compared them to the burqqa-wearing freaks there today. Then he realized this is America’s future and he can’t imagine his grand daughters in burqqa 15 or 20 years from now.
>>The guy really does look gay - not that theres anything wrong with that.
Really?

>> Who will be next??
Maybe it will be DJT!
On days when we get news like this, I am glad about two things: (1) I’m glad I’m old and won’t see the results of what’s happening, and (2) I’m glad I don’t have children to worry about.
If that mash is what you call English, then I’ll stick to what I learned.
What is the JFK talk?
I’m going to need to go buy more pearls to clutch.
>>Hey, lets just dump Trump! You ok with that?
No, but Trump himself may make that unnecessary.
Bannon was a much bigger deal, but Gorka was just as big of a person. This all started with the firing of Flynn. Trump should have circled the wagons and given them the finger from the start, but when he didn't, it appears that Trump's pedestal of power has gotten smaller and smaller ever since anyway.
From what I can tell, Trump is now negotiating with the shadow government now and these are part of the terms. This likely means he stays in power, but might not ever actually deliver on what we wanted. Let's hope I'm wrong.
“This could be planted story from deep state to demoralize Trump base.”
whew, that’s a relief
