Full title: Not such a 'dump' any more! New photographs reveal shiny new Oval Office and Roosevelt Room after $3.4m renovations are completed on White House
Hope the swept for bugs.
The place was probably as wired for sound as was the American Embassy in Moscow back in the day.
What is it about the British (DailyMail, UK). They have to tell us about us before we do.
I suspect the underlying reason for the renovations was to remove the bugs and listening devices left by the soetero regime.
Oh, THAT kind of bug. I thought you meant bed bugs, or lice when I first read your comment.
Praying they (Team Trump) did a before and after (renovations) sweep...just to be sure. I don’t trust The Swamp.
“Hope they swept for bugs.”
Yup. When I first read that the HVAC system was being replaced, I figured the main reason for the whole project was to find surveillance equipment Obama and ValJar had planted there.
Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems that the announcement about DJT’s “working vacation” was announced suddenly — only a couple days before it happened. Didn’t give much time for Hussein to send in operatives and remove stuff.
There are documented articles (also Daily Mail, IIRC) that there was a cockroach and rat infestation.
Those too, I bet.
I would have fumigated for real bugs from the last administration before I swept for electronic bugs.
Renovations were probably scheduled a long time ago.
The rat infestation has been an intermittent problem for a long time.
Yes, I worry about bugs, hidden cameras, etc., and also with them “upgrading the IT”, I feel that no one can be trusted.
I love the wallpaper too! It now looks the way that it should look. Beautiful.
The wallpaper is nice but I don’t care for the drapes.
Lots of places for bugs in that room. Behind the wallpaper, inside the furniture, in the carpet, etc. They should make that room into a faraday cage.
Hope they fumigated, too, after FraudCo left our White House.
Me too. Glad they got rid of that striped wallpaper, it was so dated. It did look like a Holiday Inn conference room. Much more understated and refined looking now.
Carpeting is better than the jarring blue as well.
Yup. The media reporting is all fluff.
You're right, I remember reading about the plan while Obama was still president.
Glad they removed the gold-and-yellow striped wallpaper from the Oval Office. Don't know if the paper was the Obama's choice, but it was installed during the Obama period. The paper wasn't bad in itself, but wasn't suitable for the room.
In the DM's photo it looks as if there's new wallpaper that has a more a subtle, classic pattern.
