CLEVELAND -- Imagine spending 48 years in a country, then you are told you are being deported to a country you don’t remember and don’t speak the language.

That is what is happening to Stefan Cina.

He moved to the United States with his parents when he was 2-years-old from Czechoslovakia.

He admits he got into legal trouble when he was young, but says has since lived a quiet, law-abiding life with his kids.

Stefan is set to be deported in October. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Cina was ordered deported more than a decade ago.

The guy had half a century to naturalize, and never got it done?

Making it TRUMP'S FAULT! (even though he was building golf courses and appearing on WWE Smackdown at the time.)

Imagine you stole something precious 48 years ago, and the rightful owner comes to get it back.

I’d like to know whose identity he used for 48 years, and how many times he voted for democrats.

"In trouble in the past" = Aggravated Robbery:

http://www.refworld.org/docid/3ae6b66620.html

On December 5, 1990, Cina was served with an Order to Show Cause, charging him with deportability under Section 241(a)(4) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1251 (a)(4) ("The Act"). The Order to Show Cause stated that Cina was an alien, who at a time after entry into this country, was convicted of two crimes involving moral turpitude, namely receiving stolen property and aggravated robbery.

At the deportation hearing, Cina testified that his involvement with criminal activity began when he was very young. He started using drugs at age 13, and subsequently left school. At 16, Cina was sent to a private school where he fathered a son, who is now under legal guardianship of the child’s maternal grandmother. According to Cina, he was arrested often as a juvenile for stealing and drug-related offenses.
In the fall of 1988, Cina pled guilty to receipt of stolen property. He was placed on two years probation, but violated its terms by failing to report to his probation officer. Cina stated that during this time he was using cocaine, which led to his participation in four aggravated robberies. In addition, he was convicted of domestic violence in a dispute with the mother of his child. Cina contended that his criminal involvement stemmed largely from family problems, specifically his parents’ divorce and his father’s alcoholism.

Cina was ordered deported more than a decade ago.

Yes, I suppose you could accurately say 1991 was more than a decade ago.

A long time ago when doing some genealogical research I ran across a case of man ordered deported in the late 1950s who had been brought to the US when 9 months old. His offense was belonging to a Communist front group in the 1930s (according to an informant--he claimed he had not been a member but had just gone to some of its meetings). Why he had never become a US citizen, I don't know. I think he had been born in Finland when it was part of the Russian Empire--don't know if he was deported to Finland or to the USSR or somehow managed to stay in the US.

He was not my relative, but a judge mentioned in the case was a distant cousin.

Very sad, sympathetic case, but it’s the law. Deport that illegal and all illegals. Perhaps in ten years he can apply for legal entry, and then he can stay here the only acceptable way - legally.
