A former Republican congressman [J.C. Watts] says current members who have chosen to stay silent in the wake of President Trump’s failure to clearly and unequivocally condemn white supremacists for the violence in Charlottesville, Va., last week are silently endorsing a racist view.

J. C. Watts used to be a conservative as I recall but idealogy is no measure of one’s intelligence. This Charlottesville event is a good test IMO.

The only right answer is to abhor violence when it comes to extremists fighting one another. One doesn’t has to take sides. Antifa, white supremacist, Nazi — they are are all wack-jobs.

I, too, agreed with what the President said....there was blame on both sides! And, anyone who watched the videos...with an open mind....could see that. But, again, the media stirred the pot to sensationalize and bash our President and, sadly, many Republicans signed on so they can appear politically correct. Cowards.

As I said back then, they would never suggest a white short time congressman who had accomplished nothing. Just the conservative version of affimative action, “see, we’re not racist!”.

President Trump did clearly and unequivocally condemn white supremacists. He also clearly and unequivocally condemned other violent socialists who were also involved in that event, which is entirely appropriate.

Not that it matters. If they had nothing else to whine about, they would be back to “Russia!” “Russia!” or even complaining that President Trump gets two scoops of ice cream when others at the table only get one scoop. Sensible people should give up on finding a way for President Trump to satisfy the Ctrl-Left. He threatens their path to absolute power over ordinary people, and America’s enemies on the left will never forgive him for that.
