International buyers purchased 34,135 Texas homes during the year that ended with the first quarter, according to a new report by the Texas Association of Realtors.
Offshore home buys in the Lone Star State added up to almost $18.7 billion during the 12-month period, according to a new Realtors report.

That doesn’t address my voting question at all. Yes, I know foreigners can’t buy property in many countries.
I used to think it was just upper-class Mexicans fleeing chaos and kidnappings, but I have been told that a big chunk of them are Mexican drug money. They are buying $2MM and up houses in my area.
Maybe in the short term, but leftists think in the long term. Buy up a district, and in a very short time, anchor relatives will be swinging that district their direction.
This is 30 years of stupid Free Trade and off shoring factories coming home to roost.
Mean while a whole generation of American young people are screwed out of ever owning a home. Renters are socialists.
