The point in placing those memorials up was to signify the restoration of the union and and are harboring no resentment. They were intended to signify forgiveness as we’ve set our differences aside and we’re together again working as one nation.
Because of Soglin’s retaliation There may be memorials to fallen Wisconsinites in southern towns which could get the same treatment.

I agree ... if there is a section of the cemetery dedicated to Confederate soldiers, that area is protected under federal law. The mayor of a single given city wouldn’t have authority to do what he’s already done.

Ok, this is getting frightening. It is time for TRUMP to get this communist movement stopped right now. These statues are of National interest and I believe the argument can be made that they are federally owned. Trump needs to step up, do an executive order and start locking these people up.
