Whatever. We’ve been through around eight iterations of “Republicans ready to dump Trump” since the primaries began last year. They didn’t do it at the convention, they didn’t do it after the “Access Hollywood” tape, they’re not going to do it over his Charlottesville spin, and they’re not going to do it for Mueller unless he finds something so foul as to leave Ryan no choice politically. And by “foul,” I mean more than Trump nudging James Comey to “let this go” with Mike Flynn. I’m talking about bodies buried in the basement of Trump Tower.
And even then, most of Trump’s fans would say, “Well, whose bodies were they?”

In searching for a politician who has suffered comparably to Trump, or vice versa, the obvious answer is Charles de Gaulle.
That is a very astute comparison. De Gaulle managed to overcome his opposition. Trump can too but it will take time.
Trump is in basically an impossible situation now. No POTUS can govern without his own party. The GOPe have utterly abandoned us.
At this point Trump needs to get what he can from Congress, win the midterms and then go to war with the entire beltway establishment for 2020. Trump can spend next year campaigning in friendly territory: WV, MO, IN, ND, etc. He’ll be in a stronger position after he helps the GOP pick up some Senate seats, IMO.
Maybe he’s that tub o lard loser Erickson, the most assinine talking head out there. He’s vile but him and Ricky Wilson are in a contest

Congress is the swamp...does anyone keep track of the debt they personally owe, due to Congressional spending? Are we slaves to them yet?
Of course many Republicans want Trump out of office. They like their Demoncrats cohorts cannot stand the idea of a non professional politician being elected to office. After all he might want them to actually do their job.
