“Well, you can vote for Hillary, then, when she runs against him in 2020.”

You miss the point. There is a 3rd option, which is sitting out the 2020 election.

I’ll still be voting for Trump in 2020, but might some people in the industrial states not vote R or D? If Trump doesn’t produce for them (manufacturing jobs & economy being key), it is reasonable to expect some voters saying “it doesn’t matter who wins, we are screwed either way”.

CNBC has this headline right now: “Bannon’s ouster a big win for Gary Cohn and Wall Street”
source: https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/18/steve-bannon-ousted-in-win-for-wall-street-and-cohn-commentary.html

Cohn whispering in Trump’s ear instead of Bannon isn’t good.

Are you even paying attention to the economic news coming out? Manufacturing is going straight up. Coal by itself is already up 85%, or at least our exports were. There has been nothing but good news out of the economy.

This damn tunnel vision of conservative pisses me off to no end! Oh nooo, sleezy Bannon got the bump, must mean the economy is failing and nothing has gotten done! Oh noooo!
