Steven K. Bannon, the swashbuckling former Goldman Sachs banker and press baron of Breitbart news who calls himself Chief Strategist of Trumps historic campaign, is in deep trouble within the Trump White House.
To be clear, I am no fan of National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster whose globalist views and hires are negating the foreign policy the President ran on.
I am one who had publicly defended Bannon from false charges of racism and anti-Semitism yet I have concluded he is a spent force, never being willing to spend his political capital to help his friends and in some cases helping empower the very Globalists he claims to oppose.
In fact, I rather like Bannon who has his roguish charm. I am proud to write for Breitbart and I did his SIRIUS radio show many times. His Libertarian-tinged world view is much like mine, yet we both understand the threat of Islamic terrorism and the consequences of open borders.
I even named Steve one of the Ten Worst Dressed Men in the World in the 2015 Mr. Stones International Best and Worst Dressed List. The tradition of the list was picked up from the late Mr. Blackwell and its now in its eleventh year. Bannon was so proud of the award that he forwarded the link to his friends.
It is more in sadness than in anger that I conclude that Steve Bannon has failed to look out for the Trump constituency, while establishment never Trumpers line up for cushy jobs and prestigious ambassadorships. Not understanding that personnel is policy, Bannon refused to fight for any of his allies or those who helped get Trump elected. Its as if Steve felt the grubby business of patronage was below him.

Did his former boss, Al Sharpton, tell him that?
I’ve quit paying attention to anything other than Trump’s twitter feed. The web is overflowing with FAKE NEWS regarding people who claim to know that Trump is thinking or is going to do.
Only Trump speaks for Trump.
Drudge banner says Bannon is now out.
Drudge just put up a siren saying that Bannon is out. Nothing further yet.
Drudge has a siren headline.
This is an INCREDIBLY stupid move by Trump. The one thing Trump cannot afford to do is alienate his base. And I can’t think of anything he could do to alienate his base more than to dump Bannon.
If Bannon goes, Trump will be completely isolated and surrounded.
This will certainly appease the left and make them stop their nonsense (extreme sarcasm).

Completely agree
Yes, will be curious to see how this is spun. Timing says a result of last weekend, gives everyone more blood in the water to encourage more attacks against Trump. Bad trend.
My thoughts exactly.
My thoughts exactly.
I've been telling people that Bannon is a fraud for a number of months now. There are many good reasons to believe this, but people have their tribal affiliations and do not so easily break free of them.
Bannon brought this on himself by spreading the disinformation that McMaster had given Susan Rice security clearance, even though all he gave her was access to her own work product as was necessary, especially if she was going to soon be testifying.
Stone's criticism of Bannon here is completely correct and accurate, and should not be a surprise to anyone who remembers Bannon's hijinks during the Trump campaign.
Sadly, Bannon, like most professional conservative pundits, was only interested in one thing: self-aggrandizement and money.
The honest among us are far and few.
Take the medicine folks. It tastes bad but we need it.
If they weren't alienate when he made Reince Priebus his chief of staff, they wouldn't be alienated if he put a hammer and sickle on the flag...
>>I’ve been telling people that Bannon is a fraud for a number of months now. <<
I said that since the beginning, and was criticized for it. In fact, he didn’t make much secret of the fact he was not conservative.
Agree. Another victory for his enemies. And every time they win, they get stronger and braver. Eventually they’ll feel emboldened to go for the jugular and push him out.
I’ve noticed NONE of the politicians Trump appointmented have resigned. I also notice NONE of them have spoken up in support either. Frauds!
Trump will be fine, he’s getting the leakers and selfish people out. He will bring in more people he can trust.
Bannon went off the other day about NOKO and said things that should have been kept to himself instead of taking a shot at Trump and the admin’s position on NOKO .
It’s never good to openly bad mouth the boss .
Trump’s base is not going to abandon him with rock-throwing Communist agitators out there in the streets tearing down statues.
