No matter what brand I will bet you real dollars it was either assembled by, or has major components which were made by FoxConn in China, the same company YOU falsely accuse of using "Chinese slave labor." Apple is the only major computer manufacturer left that still makes computers in the US: the Apple iMac is assembled in Elk Grove, California, and the Mac Pro is manufactured entirely in Austin, Texas.

I have been reading the articles on this donation and the articles published yesterday and today are quietly clarifying the donation such as the following article's statement from The Washington Times on the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hate Map including mainstream conservative groups such as the Pacific Justice Institute (bolded emphasis mine):

"The Alabama-based center added to its coffers Wednesday with a $1 million donation from Apple CEO Tim Cook, who also said he would match 2-1 donations to the SPLC as well as a list of other designated groups until Sept. 30, citing the Charlottesville clash."

Note the article citation states that Tim Cook made the donation, and that "he (not Apple) would match" other donations from Apple Employees. This is handled through the Apple Employees Political Action Committee (AEPAC), an organization totally separate from Apple Inc.

In other words, the donation being reported as being made by Apple Inc. is just more Main Stream Media FAKE NEWS. What it is, instead of a corporate donation which would require a Board of Director's meeting, which is unlikely to have occurred in such a short time, is a personal, private donation from Tim Cook from his substantial personal funds, which of course, he did earn by being CEO of Apple.

I have seen these donations couched in the terms "donations from Apple CEO Tim Cook" in at least five places today, while in the past several days it was couched as a donation from Apple. Someone quietly corrected the story to make it accurate as to who is actually is making the donations to the organizations.
