There are ways to change status. 60% of all green cards are issued to people already here under change of status. I won’t go into them here, but it is a thriving business for these leeches called immigration lawyers. If it were up to me, there would be very few issued in that manner.
Her history of working here illegally will doom her chances along with possible other criminal violations.

Under current US law (8 U.S.C. § 1401), they are American citizens at birth. It is called birthright citizenship. If they present their US birth certificate, they will receive a US passport. That is the reality on the ground under the laws of this country.
There is NO birthright citizenship!
