Extremism: It wasn't long ago that Americans were being told repeatedly not to overreact to Islamic terrorism, because that would only serve as a terrorist recruiting tool. That's worth remembering now, in the wake of the white supremacist attack in Charlottesville, Va.
Harsh language, bitter attacks, backlash against attacks, accusing whole groups of being in bed with terrorists, were all, we were told again and again, "just what ISIS wants."
"The Islamic State wants the West to overreact," was a typical comment over the years.
One commentator complained after the Manchester bombing in England this summer that saturation coverage of terrorist attacks by the press "inspires others to follow suit — it perpetuates a cult of martyrdom."
Why doesn't this same logic apply to domestic terrorists of the white nationalist variety?
You wouldn't know from the wall-to-wall hyperventilating coverage of the Charlottesville protests, but the protest march itself was underwhelming.

Also, the Rachel Corrie wannabe was definitely a participant in her own demise, as evidenced by HER violent behavior which led to her accidental death.

Obvious acts of terror cannot be labeled as such by our government for weeks, but this kid is identified as a domestic terrorist from day one for trying to avoid being Reginald- Denny'd to death.

They also seem to justify the left wing violence because it is directed towards “bigotry and hate.”
Well, guess what. Communism has oppressed more people than bigotry and hate has, so does that mean it’s justified to initiate violence against those espousing those views?
She had a baseball bat? She was smashing his car? Wow. I didn’t see that.
From what I have read there were a number of alt right folks parked in a parking structure a block or so away. As they left the exit there were Antifa people beating on their cars with baseball bats. At least, this is what I have read. If this Fields kid was attacked in that way it may be quite understandable he was a bit rattled. If, encountering a street full of protestors in front of him and having Antifa behind him, it might be quite understandable he would be a bit panicked. In the different videos I saw Sunday morning that were unedited from what I remember we first see him heading toward the Antifa in front of him. Then he taps his brakes, you can see the brake lights come on, almost immediately one of the Antifa folks leaves the sidewalk and strikes his car on the left rear. He hits the accelerator and travels 20 feet or so bowling over a half dozen people and striking a car in front of him. In the frames I have seen from the left of the car he turns to look over his left shoulder and he has a mustache and goatee. Before he puts it in reverse a bunch of people climb on the back of his car and start beating out the window in the rear. There is a girl on the right side of the car and she is first to hit the window and break a big hole in it. I do believe she is the one killed as he backs up. You can see in the earlier frames he is looking over his left shoulder. He strikes the right rear fender of his car as he backs up after traveling about 15 feet. I understand she was between his car and the truck.
If you are seeing a video that doesn’t show all these things it is incomplete. There is a poor overhead drone video that does not show the actual crash but does show the two cars ahead of him as his car strikes them. There are some curious things about this video. One, the first two cars are surrounded by protestors who are NOT striking those two videos with bats. There is a fire truck blocking the street to the right around the corner. Why? Did the police set up road blocks to funnel cars into this crowd? Why was that fire truck there? Why did Antifa attack HIS car but not the earlier two? The driver of the car he hit was black. Could that be why she was not attacked? If so, why didn’t they let those two cars pass? They had decided, apparently that those first two cars were “friends”. So why not let them go?
Me neither, and I am not buying it.

Funny how nobody in the media is calling this guy a “Lone Wolf”, and saying that he doesn’t “represent all White Nationalists”.
I spent Sunday morning looking at all the videos the 4chan kids were posting in from FB and Twitter. It appeared to me they were unedited. I don’t believe there was time for much editing. The frames I saw of the driver looking back over his left shoulder were up within the hour. I suppose they could have been photoshopped. I remember thinking, “My God, that guy looks like Eric Clanton.” But one would have to be pretty good with photo shop to get that frame up within the hour.
I didn’t get the info I posted up from any one video but a number of different videos and frames from different angles.
So that's how it is being characterized now? SMH. No mention of the armed leftist thugs that disrupted the (until that point) peaceful, permitted (legal) rally? Pravda would be proud of this guy...

Put the word “white” in front of anything and its automatically supposed to be bad/racist/bigoted to these scum.
He has already been convicted in the media, don’t ya know? What more do you need?

The KKK is RAT, the Nazis (National Socialists ) are of the left, and the "Traditional Workers Party" is leftist.
None of these are small government, maximum freedom, hermit types. They are all factions of the tyrannical left, including the murdering rag-heads.
I have also seen video of the antifa crowd attacking other vehicles coming out of the parking garage.
One of them, a silver Honda small SUV is kicked by a guy who runs up behind it and kicks the rear of the vehicle hard—while the Honda is slowly driving away.
Instant reaction—the driver speeds up and almost hits the guy in front of him in traffic.
So, Fields reaction is not unusual and not necessarily pre-meditated.
Regardless, the mayor, governor and the police chief have a lot to answer for. They caused what happened as well.
