They try to make it sound like Trump would have gotten some good will from them.

Trump got no goodwill from the backpedal. They tripled-down on the abuse. So he decided “eff this!” and has gone back to his instincts.

Good will the president received from whom?? The media?? The liberals?? Are all events to be viewed through their lenses, and interpreted through their filters??
This makes it sound like the baseline for viewing any situation is from the point of view of the media in the New York/Washington axis.
“Culpability”, I think President Trump was hunting around for the word culpability but he came up with semblance instead I wish someone up there would have fed it to him but Donald is all by himself in the ring swinging but he is swinging for the fences. He lambasted the obnoxious press with withering zinger after zinger. I can’t recall yet imagine a previous president with such unbridled confidence to so boldly challenge the media’s monopoly on the narrative.
We are still very close to a thousand years of boot on the neck totalitarian rule, yet have been blessed to have been given this chance to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
