Re Fox News...yesterday, heard part of Eboni Williams on ‘The Specialists’ (of what, I don’t know!) and, in fairness, not sure if I heard correctly...but, thought she said ‘Trump’s base’ are racists. Sent her a tweet with my opinion of her comments and asked her to apologize. Today she says she doubles down on her comments of yesterday. She needs to be fired. At one time, Fox was only station on my TV and now it’s rarely on.
Media is a big part of divisiveness in our country. Finally, someone has the courage to call out the media and they can’t stand it. Good for you Mr. President; may God bless and protect you!

I just knew, as good as he was, that he would not bring up that dreaded 'C' word (COMMUNIST) to describe many of the organizers and participants on the counter side. No one ever does, at least not in any detail at all. Even Sean Hannity hardly ever mentions it. Meanwhile, it's who these people are. Hannity, as far as I know, and I used to listen to/watch his radio and TV shows a lot, never even described Bill Ayers as Communist, even though he openly and proudly admits he still is one today.

The President did very well overall. He said exactly what I thought he should say about taking 48 hours to make a detailed statement about Charlottesville: Two days is not a long time before a response, and it takes around 48 hours to figure our basically what happened there last weekend, get the facts straight, and write the speech. When Trump makes a quick statement the news media attacks him for speaking too quickly, then when he takes enough time to get a thorough briefing on a situation, they attack him for taking too long.
His comments about the violent day in Charlottesville were good overall. One thing I would change is to not mention that Washington and Jefferson were slave owners, because that feeds into the leftists’ narrative that our Founding Fathers were a bunch of racists. Instead, he should just say something like “where does this stop, what are they going to tear down next...Mt. Vernon, Monticello, the Jefferson Memorial?” A statement like that gets people thinking more about how some left-wingers want to destroy and erase our history.
