STONE MOUNTAIN, GA (CBS46) -
Former Georgia House Minority Leader and candidate for governor of the state Stacey Abrams is calling for the Confederate carvings on Stone Mountain to be removed.
Abrams tweeted that the carvings is a "blight on our state and should be removed". She also tweeted that "Confederate monuments belong in museums where we can study and reflect on that terrible history, not in places of honor across our state".
The Confederate Memorial Carving has images of Confederacy President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson and were not complete until a dedication ceremony on May 9, 1970. Finishing touches were completed in 1972.
Abrams says the carvings have no place in the state and were "paid for by the founders of the second wave of the Ku Klux Klan." She also says the carvings have "no purpose other than celebration of racism, terror and division when carved"

Stacey Abrahams has NO chance of being Governor but she is a smart politician who knows how to ride a wave.
Georgia is still 60% white. So, I imagine when she gets annihilated in the election, she will blame it on “racism”.

Since the Georgia legislature is very Republican, I would hope that they soon pass a law making it a very serious felony to deface or vandalize the Stone Mountain monument, and still a felony to attempt to do so.
I’m thinking 20 years minimum.

I got to see it as a kid while it was still under construction. We could climb down the gantry’s and catwalks and peer down over the edge to (try to) see the workmen below. Imagine them letting anyone do that today!

I would vote yes for any domestic terrorist wearing a hard, full face mask, and clearly in the "antifa" or "anti-kkk" uniform and a deadly weapon found, shoot them between the eyes.

And if they were going to over turn tombstones at Gettysburg National Cemetery, they would have been destroying the stones of UNION Army soldiers who fought and defeated the Army of Northern Virginia. There are NO Confederate soldiers buried in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. Those Confederates that were buried in the Gettysburg area are, if still there in private cemeteries or unmarked individual and mass graves. After the Civil War many of the CSA soldiers were moved to the South, if either the individual was known or if in a mass grave of soldiers from a single regiment.
Remove every public monument named after KKK Robert Byrd.

Slavery is going on openly in Muslim nations today even sexual slavery which is the most degrading form of slavery. In some places it is always the 7th century.
Don’t you find it amusing that many Black males choose to convert to Islam when the Muslims took many millions of slaves from Africa then castrated the males. But hey, it is better than Christianity which is the White man’s religion. I don’t think the massa done castrated his slaves.
Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles should look for good history books to pass on to our young ones so that the truth with be passed along.
